Lovely Home Near the Art Museum

Family friendly!

Nestled on a small side street, you’ll find our quiet home located about 2 blocks from the Art Museum. This treasure has been our home for more than a decade and provides a central location to all of the best restaurants and activities in Fairmont, including Whole Foods, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Institute and more! If you are a looking for a great location for any of the events or races held on the parkway, you won't find a better location.

Our home is set up to accommodate a small group or a family with young children. It is very well maintained and comprised of 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and furnished with items from crate and barrel, pottery barn, and room and board. All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor with one full bathroom. The living room, kitchen and half bath are located on the 1st floor. The half finished basement provides an additional living space with another TV and couch (queen sleeper), and could be utilized as a dedicated work space with a desk. There is a full sized washer and dryer in the basement as well.

Items that make our home great for young children include; crib, mounted baby gates, high chair, toddler chair, bumbo seat, pac n play, kids dishes and utensils, and children's books, puzzles, games and toys.

An absolutely charming house in a family and pet friendly walkable neighborhood. We loved being able to walk to the art museum and for meals. Cafe Mussette was a particular favorite for coffee and breakfast.

The house is set up perfectly for a family with a little one - the crib, mounted baby gates, and haigh chairs made our trip much more relaxing! Great location walkable to the Art Museum. We caught it at a great/unusually low price so that was even better, but it's genuinely the most toddler friendly rental we've seen.

This home was everything you would want for a family vacation to Philadelphia. The home is in a lovely, safe neighborhood that is close to key Philadelphia attractions. It is clean, well maintained and cozy. The only difficulty we experienced was finding nearby parking, but we also know this is the reality of being in a city.

Meg was super responsive during our stay! The home was cozy and had everything you could need. My 3 year old loved the downstairs play area and all the kids books. Definitely very thoughtful of people traveling with kids, highly recommend for families! Felt nice to be back in our old neighborhood with so many great restaurants and playgrounds nearby. Go to Bad Brother for dinner!

What a wonderful home! Perfect for families with young kids, it had toys, puzzles, books, stair gates, and a crib. It was near the zoo and kids museum as well as coffee shops and restaurants. Our two young children didn't want to leave, and I hope we will be back to visit again.

Everything about the house, the host, the neighborhood - all of it was great. Megan was always available for any questions I had. The property was well stocked and every detail for our comfort was considered. The neighborhood is also great. My family was visiting from France, and they are used to walking everywhere and this house is in the heart of it all (cafes, groceries, restaurants, parks, museums), yet it's on a quiet street so when you get back you can easily relax and unwind. And it was such a cute house! Even though there isn't a designated parking spot, I never had an issue with parking in and around the neighborhood. I look forward to renting this house again! We loved staying at this property! The home was adorable - clean and comfortable, well decorated, cozy, and even well-stocked with snacks. The area was really nice too, with coffee and sushi around the corner, and a bus stop within a block to access the city without having to drive. We found parking easily around the corner, and left our car there for our entire stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

This house was a great place to stay for our trip to Philly. The house is very clean and comfortable. Communication with the hosts to set up the stay was easy. The street is narrow so don’t bring your SUV. We did find parking during the week.

Stay Like a Loca!

Julie’s place was a really nice and practical place to stay. It’s very clean and well stocked with kitchen necessities and even snacks! Our 30lb dog was able to accompany us, which is super appreciated. We enjoyed checking out the neighborhood shops and pubs in addition to the arts museum and many parks nearby. Definitely recommend!

A Perfect Fit

The home was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and perfectly located for our interests. It's a very walkable neighborhood, with lots of green space. Inside, we loved being able to work in the basement while others relaxed on the first floor, and I appreciated the child safety gates, which kept my small dog from following me up and down the stairs.

Comfy home

Not being familiar with Philadelphia, the parking (or lack thereof) was surprising. Once I parked the car, I wasn't moving it again. There were neighborhood shops and stores nearby, so we were able to buy a few groceries. Getting around with Uber and buses was easy and convenient.

Restful in the city

My daughters and I had the best stay ever! The townhome was cute, clean and comfortable. My girls slept instantly and enjoyed watering the plants and playing with the toys and games. The neighbors were nice and helpful, the neighborhood was safe and quiet. The hostess was very nice and responsive. The products in the house were the same brands that I use so that was great too! We will definitely visit again when we visit Philly.

The home is beautiful with many things to explore. Communicatiin was wonderful. The only things i can suggest is maybe instead of a day bed maybe another full or queen. Also the parking is horrible first come first serve but a lot of the stuff is walking distance

This is a beautiful home, stocked with essentials, on a stunning street in a perfect neighborhood. The back, outdoor space is lovely for a morning cup of tea. The house is full of light and air, with lots of space to spread out. Even though there is only street parking, it wasn't an issue at all and we found a spot right away. It is located next to all the museums in the area. We have a senior dog, and the baby gates throughout the home were a welcomed addition ensuring we didn't have a senior explorer on any of the steps. Megan is a wonderful host who responded to all my communications promptly and with kindness, which doesn't go unnoticed. I can't say enough good things about this house!

Townhouse Close to Museums

This is a neat and clean renovated townhouse close to the art museums, with all the necessities for a pleasant stay. Street parking can be a little tight, but it is available and there are activity options within walking distance for those so inclined. The neighbor is quiet and peaceful. For members of the younger set, the house is well fitted out for families, with toys and games for children and gates on the staircases. We found the owners responsive to any questions and would definitely recommend this home to anyone who is ambulatory.

Nice find in Fairmount

This is a cute rowhouse in a clean, quiet neighborhood sprinkled with cafes, pubs, restaurants and even a prison -- a defunct prison that is a museum, that is. The house is in walking distance to the art museum and Fairmount Park, close to public transit, and a short drive to downtown/airport/wherever. Parking was somewhat tricky as we arrived late one evening, but was generally not a problem. We would probably have been fine without a car, given the variety of transit options. Meghan responded quickly to any questions we had.

Fairmount apartment close to Art Museum

The location was great, the apartment is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, a short walk to the Philadelphia Art Museum. It was clean and well-furnished, and the owner was extremely accessible when we had questions. It's particularly well set up for small children (though we didn't have any in our party), with baby gates, a crib, and books and toys for kids. The ground floor was well air-conditioned, but the second floor (where most of the beds are) was not, but it cooled off OK at night with fans and open windows. My eighty-one year-old mother did wish for a grab bar in the shower. Overall, we had a great stay.
