This was a wonderful location for our annual sister's retreat! The lake provided beautiful views and kept the anglers happy feeding the fish. We visited the county fair, Moose Lake State Park and the fire museum. The road leading to the house was ideal for agate hunting and we even saw deer early in the morning! The ping-pong table gave us some exercise between meals, which were easy to prepare in the well laid out kitchen. We didn't have time to use the lovely fire pit but it was stocked with wood and ready to enjoy. This is a well maintained property and we highly recommend it to others.

What a wonderful long weekend! The home is great and equipped with everything we needed. The kids had a great time fishing and swimming off the dock. The fire pit was a favorite hang out spot. We brought ATVs and were able to get on a path about a mile down the road that went to the Pit. Great spot for ATVs and dirt bikes.

Will definitely be back!

Great experience! Beautiful home and lakeside views. Host was great to deal with. If you’re renting to side by side like we did, one thing to keep in mind is that there is no room for trailers. Which is no fault of the owners. We will for sure be renting again! Thanks for a great stay!

A little piece of heaven

The VRBO was everything it listed and more. It’s a beautiful home that’s comfortable, spacious and right on the water. We will stay here again on our next visit to Barnum!

Weekend stay with our young adult children and their girlfriends

This home is very clean, newly updated, nicely furnished and accommodating for our family. A kitchen item we needed but didn't think to bring was cooking oil or cooking spray. Otherwise, it had everything we needed. We were disappointed in the waterfront. We have lived in MN all our lives and so when booking a lake property expect that we will be able to swim in the water at the property. The description says water adventures so I assumed we would be able to swim at the dock on the property. The beach was very weedy. A flock of geese like to hang out on the lawn here and they are messy. This seemed like a new problem, the owner said they are working on a solution and we understand that dealing with wildlife can be tricky. We did scare the geese away one time while were there. We were able launch our kayaks but did not go swimming in the water which was disappointing. I read in the guest book that there was a sand bar nearby that people were enjoying. Please put that in the book so we know where we could go to swim. It is hard to know what areas of the lake are public. Our kids did some fishing and caught many different kinds of fish. Overall, we were very comfortable and had a great weekend. This home is a beautiful property and would recommend to others wanting to stay in this area.

Fantastic Week on Hanging Horn

Great location on the lake. Plenty of room for our family of 4 with tons of activities regardless of season or the weather. One of the best stocked/prepared homes we've stayed in. Great communication from the owner. We highly recommend staying here, and are planning to come back in the future!

Amazing Stay!

This property is perfect for friends or family to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. I absolutely love the layout of this house and the backyard is perfect for an evening around the fire or to play yard games. Sitting on the dock in the mornings was serene and one of my favorite things to do. The property owner was very helpful and answered my questions promptly.

Home away from home

We had a blast. The kids enjoyed themselves, quiet neighborhood with little traffic going by. Ping pong table was unexpectedly very fun and competitive. Lawn was free of sticks, etc for bare feet. Super great location! House was very clean and the host quickly answered any questions we had. Definitely would recommend!

AMAZING!!

Cleanest and best stocked VRBO we have ever stayed at! Beautiful lake view and outdoor landscaping. Huge outdoor firepit area. Spacious rooms and extremely family friendly. Many items many people would forget were stocked and ready for guests (batteries, toiletries, etc.) Comfortable beds and quiet neighborhood. Super easy check in and out process. Already planning to come back next year!

Beautiful and spacious

This is a lovely property that provides a wonderful place to stay, long-term or short-term. It is charming and beautifully decorated. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We loved. sipping our coffee and watching the sunrise over the lake. We would highly recommend this rental.

Awesome place to gather,relax,laugh and have fun

Wonderful place to stay with a gorgeous view of the lake. House was extremely clean and well equipped. Enjoyed the fireplace in the backyard. Would highly recommend this property . There was a group of women who have traveled together for 28 years who gathered here to laugh relax have fun and be together. Quick trip to Cloquet and Duluth to enjoy those towns and shops as well. Would highly recommend this place to rent.

It worked very well for me and my fishing buddys.

Very nice remodeled split foyer home and you can see that they have put a lot of hard work into the house and landscaping and we were very happy on our stay, we come to this area every year for fishing and this was awesome place to stay the only thing I didn't like was that they had no dock but I'm sure they have plans for one in the future but all in all is a great place!

Nice property and not too far from Duluth and MN adventures.

My family had a nice stay at this property. The house is very nice. There are some nice little communities surrounding the property that have some good small town restaurants and coffee shops. Duluth was one of our main destinations and it's not a bad drive at all the hot spots in Duluth. I'd book again.

Great Place!

The property was very clean and well stocked with dishes, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, and towels. The beds were comfy! The ping pong table was fun and we used it often. Although we didn't use it, the fire pit area is so nice, with plenty of seating! The view of the lake is beautiful and we had a mama deer and her babies visit a couple of times. We stayed here to attend the Duluth Airshow, which was awesome! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place!
