STR Host License # 002390 Situated near the summit of Double Knob Mountain in Ellijay, Georgia, Mountain Ridge Retreat offers breathtaking views on all levels. Enjoy the adventure as you drive up the mountain. FWD/4WD recommended. Recline back and enjoy the view from the upper deck. Cozy up to the small fireplace on the main deck or enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining area. Jump in the hot tub or lounge around on the swing on the lower deck. Or head back inside and gather around the pool table. The firepit is great for stories and smores. The Retreat is conveniently located 20 minutes from Ellijay and Blue Ridge for shopping and dining. We are also steps away from the Benton Mackeye Trail. The Mountain Ridge Retreat offers 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms and is a hiker's delight and pet friendly. We offer HULU live and Disney Plus. FWD/4WD recommended. You will be driving up and down a mountain.

The home was clean, warm, inviting, and decorated beautifully. We loved it. Only negative was the drive up the mountain. I didn’t know it was so difficult to access the cabin until I got the text a few days before about the road’s conditions. If it was on the listing, I would have rented a jeep for the stay. Try to let people know about it earlier so they can plan to rent something and bring more supplies to limit trips down the mountain. Being an older mountain man, used to mountain travel, I was fine. Also, the hot tub was really murky and had a greenish hue. Try a good clarifier to remove the minerals.

Mae was an amazing host! Very responsive to texts, etc and the cabin was so homey and welcoming. I believe they have the best view on the mountain! We will definitely book again!

The cabin was absolutely perfect! I loved that there were so many great spaces to be - a game room, multiple decks with mountain views, good outdoor space at the fire pit and the hot tub. We had rain the first day and a half and that definitely made trekking up/down the mountain challenging. But then the skies cleared and wow!!! We were treated to amazing views of the fall colors! I also loved that each bedroom was so nice! Very high quality linens/pillows/mattresses! So, no one had to sleep in a little kid room (we were all 50). And all bathrooms were really nice too! The kitchen had every appliance and tool that we needed too! We'd spend the days hiking or exploring orchards and pumpkin patches, but then we couldn't wait to return to the cabin! There is so much to do that we were very happy during the rainy days too! Communication was great and check in/out was very simple and easy! thank you so much! We'll be back for sure!

The house was great. Comfortable beds and great views. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and the little details that made the house cozy. Mae was a great hostess, easy to contact. My only complaint was the dirt mountain road to get there. You should have 4wheel drive.

Wonderful Mountain View’s! Beautifully clean cabin with everything you can possibly need! The kitchen was fully equipped! Beds were very comfortable! Fun game room! Great communication with the owner highly recommend this cabin get away!!!

Great Vaca Getaway

Beautiful home with all the amenities you need to have a great time ! Views and screened in deck is spectacular, as well as all the games to keep the fun going. Challenging road, but worth it.

Clean, comfy and cozy cabin with amazing views!

We enjoyed a girl's getaway here and this cabin was perfect for us! It had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and to just relax. We especially enjoyed the amazing sunrises coming up over the mountains - absolutely stunning views!

Thanksgiving family vacation

The property was beautiful and cozy. The mountain view was incredible. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The cabin was decorated for Christmas and that was a plus. It added to the atmosphere of our vacation. Beautiful place to spend time with our grown children and grandchild.

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful time ! The cabin was just as pictured, incredibly clean and so cozy! Highly recommend. Only think I’d recommend is an SUV toget there.

Great spot for a friend trip and the pups

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful location with friends. There was lots to do in the surrounding towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge, but the cabin came with lots of games, entertainment and spots to just sit and enjoy the view. We particularly loved the screened porch to escape the summer bugs. It was also a great spot for our pups. The backyard was the right size for them to stretch their legs and it was fully fenced, which eased our minds with curious dogs.

Beautiful place
 adventurous ride to/from cabin!

Beautiful mountain cabin with breathtaking Mountain View’s. Hot tub was a very nice touch. Kids enjoyed the trip back to 1980s to play Pac-Man. Very challenging access road from main road to cabin. Recommend making initial ascent in the daylight!

Best Christmas ever!

This cabin is absolutely amazing! Three stories all with amazing views. Being a foodie, I was really impressed with the very well stocked kitchen. It had everything. The bathrooms were very well stocked too with anything you would need. All the beds were so comfortable !! Being in between Ellijay and Blue Ridge was very convenient, but we spent much of our time enjoying the cabin. Wonderful and responsive hosts! We are booking again.

Nice stay

We loved our stay. Everything was clean and organized. The only thing we did not like was the drive up (20-30mins) gravel roads, but that can be common with a stay in the mountains. The property manager was great with communication. The cabin does have great views which we enjoyed.

Beautiful property

Absolutely breathtaking views!!! This house surpassed everything we could’ve ever imagined! There’s three levels of floors and each room had a king sized bed (comfy which is a super plus!), bathrooms and beautiful views. They decorated the house for Christmas and it felt like hime. The hot tub was great, we grilled and had a fantastic time. Everything looked and was SUPER clean. The only downfall is going up the mountain takes about 25 minutes and there’s a lot of dirt and gravel, but it definitely outweighs the beauty of this home. Thank you for an amazing stay!!! We can’t wait to be back :)

Perfect for a Group of Couples

This was the perfect spot for three couples to have lots of space, plenty of activities, great amenities, and a gorgeous view. The only detractor is the road to get to the cabin which is very rough and steep in certain spots.

Wonderful mountain getaway

I was very impressed with the cabin and that everything is provided for you that you might need. I always take extra basics like toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, body wash, etc. but everything was already there. The stairs are a little rough for us older people but everything was gorgeous. My only 2 complaints are the gravel roads are rough especially after it rained and my dog got out once because the yard and concrete from the driveway are so low in the 1 corner of the backyard. We really enjoyed the cable and views.

Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time and our hosts were so thoughtful from wood for our fire to a s’mores kit! The house is equipped with everything you need and more. I would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway! Thanks for making our trip a special family memory we will treasure!
