A wonderful home to spend the holidays. Very clean and cozy. The hosts were very responsive to a minor heating issue at check in and the issue was resolved within an hour. We would love to stay again.

We loved everything about this house! Everything was impeccable. The kids enjoyed the games, we all watched a movie in the cozy living room and the dogs enjoyed the backyard. A lot of attention to detail has gone to this home by the hosts to ensure comfort. Absolute gem and close to The Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium.

Great for family reunion

Very clean. Kitchen had a good number of dishes for dining. Had fun with the games. Convenient for walking to downtown places. None of us were used to street noise at night, but that comes with being in town.

The home was clean and had all the essentials provided plus a few bonus items. When asked about a baby gate the owner purchased one for the home. Some games/activities were provided which was nice. The listing stated sleeping space in living room as a futon but was really only a couch so one adult had a less comfortable rest. The upstairs was significantly warmer than the main level even with fans running and shades closed. We visited in July when it was in the 90’s so maybe as an older home it couldn’t keep up. Appreciated information provided of events going on and places to visit. Also quick replies to questions.

Loved our Weekend

This property is very centrally located to downtown and is an easy walk to the bars and restaurants nearby. Our hosts were great to work with and they had lots of little extras at the home for us to enjoy such as coffee and water. We loved this home! This home is great for six adults. We hope to come back in the future

Great stay - Super clean

We stayed with two other couples for a UD game. Extremely clean, comfortable, lots of amenities and extras in the kitchen, linens/towels, etc. We were able to seat 6 at the table and play cards, close enough to walk to many things but rainy weather limited us. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great stay

We come every year for Dock dogs worlds competition. This place is walking distance to Five flags and really anything in town. House had parking and a yard. Host was great checked in on us ,very helpful. Would stay again

The Perfect Place

Absolutely loved this home and the very responsive owners! Welcoming, bright, cozy yet spacious. Everything you could need has been thought of and provided. Very family/pet friendly. The dog treats/bowls were a great welcome for our pup. Location is perfectly located. Walking distance to dining, shops, and local attractions. So comfortable! Highly recommend a stay here.

Great experience, lots of space!

My friends and I recently stayed at Troy and Stacy's wonderful home in Dubuque and had a great time. The house is perfectly located within walking distance of downtown restaurants, shops, etc. and there are plenty of beds and sleeping space. Would highly recommend staying at Troy and Stacy's house if you find yourself in Dubuque and want a great, central location to do some exploring!

Hosting allows us to provide a great experience to anyone passing through or spending time in Dubuque or Galena. The memories created while traveling with family and friends are invaluable. We understand the small details make those memories so meaningful. We try to bring those small touches into your experience while staying with us.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We chose this property to be a vacation rental because of the location. Located in the historic cathedral district it is tucked in with many other historic buildings. This property is in a particularly beautiful part of downtown Dubuque. It is just far enough off the main street to give you the quiet you need and yet close enough to shops, tourist attractions, and night life within walking distance. The Fenelon elevator, the "world's steepest, shortest scenic railway.” elevating passengers 189 feet from Fourth Street up to the top of the bluff. The Fenelon Place is practically in the back yard but hidden by trees so not to detract from your relaxing back yard experience. The Five Flags Center, hosting some of the biggest names in music and entertainment is less than a half mile away. The city library, county court house, post office, and many quaint little shops are right around the corner. The Mississippi River is close by with a beautiful riverwalk for all to enjoy. I love all the amenities within walking distance, and we hope you will too. There is something for every need. In the mood for something sweet? Walk half a block around the corner to Sweet Memories Ice cream shop. In the mood for a local coffee shop? Try La Venta Specialty Coffee, they have great coffee/pastries and a relaxing atmosphere. Need souvenirs? Check out Elevated Images, located on 4th st at the bottom of the Fenelon Elevator. Dubuque has 35 murals scattered about downtown for a fun scavenger hunt with kids. We haven't found them all yet either. Just a bit further but still within walking distance (if you are up for it) is the National Mississippi River Museum, Diamond Jo Casino, and the mighty Mississippi itself. Dubuque is also beautiful in the wintertime and Sundown Mountain is a must for those looking to ski or snowboard.

This is a three bedroom, two full bath home with washer and dryer. We can accommodate up to 8 guests-9 if you use the full sized air mattress. This is great for families or friend getaways! We also recommend our house for work trips. It has a fenced in back yard perfect for those traveling with pets. The firepit is a great option for lounging in the back yard. The kitchen is well stocked with the utensils needed to make and enjoy a great meal at home. It has all the amenities you are used to having at home.
