Come enjoy all that this rustic getaway has to offer. Sit or grill out on the massive covered porch with beautiful view, or roast marshmallows in the limestone lined fireplace. Unwind in the jacuzzi bathtub or snuggle up and watch a movie on one of the big screen smart TVs in two different living room spaces. After exploring all Galena has to offer unwind with an after dinner drink on our butcher block bar. Stretch your legs and take a walk on our 6 acre property.

The prefect cozy cabin to ring in the new year with friends. We loved sitting around the fireplace when we weren't exploring the city!

The host was great and the cabin was really nice! A fun and relaxing stay, close to Galena and other great restaurants. Go to Charlie’s for breakfast and The Copper Kettle for dinner/drinks! We will definitely return in the Summer when we can take advantage of the outdoors!

We loved the cabin! It was nice and private and as good as it looked in the pictures. We'd definitely come again and recommend it highly. Matt was very responsive and friendly with the few questions we had for him. Great location, great drive to get here, close to Galena!

Minor complications with amenities. Microwave had issues, laundry soap was empty, and ceiling fan did not work, and was relatively dusty. Otherwise clean bedding and kitchen facilities, and we'll stocked complimentary items for camping out.

Relaxing Family Vacation

This was the perfect spot for our summer vacation. The cabin was well stocked with all the essentials and the property is absolutely gorgeous. It was so nice to spend time in Galena and then return to the cabin to relax and make a meal.

My wife and I really enjoyed are stay. Cabin is everything and more. Sooooo peaceful. We went to see Galena which was great but i really looked forward to getting back to the cabin to relax and unwind.

Perfect for Relaxing and Enjoying Galena

Stayed here for a girl's trip. Very quiet, relaxing atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Secluded enough to feel like a true getaway but just a 15 minute drive to Galena and 20-30 minutes for scenic drive to Galena Territory or even Dubuque, IA. Gas station and grocery store chain close by, as well. Spacious modern log cabin house with all the amenities, a large outdoor balcony out the back door to enjoy the scenic view, no external stairs down (just FYI). Full Bathroom, kitchen, living area, and dining table on main floor. Bedroom with 2 beds on 2nd floor via winding staircase with beautiful view from large windows. Bedroom, full bathroom, another living area in basement via winding staircase or exterior sliding glass door. So, plenty of room to spread out. Hammock and swing outside to relax and get lost in thought. Hosts were very responsive to any questions; we did not run into any issues! A great time had by all.

Not Practical but artsy.

We are in town for a family reunion. Says sleeps 7. Two beds are in a loft where the temperature is constantly high in the high 80's and unsleepable. Master bedroom is in basement where the temperature is much colder. Circular staircase in the middle of this log cabin takes up all the floor space. We had planned on sleeping 5 only my wife and I could use it because of the temperature discomfort. Owner has placed a game camera on the front porch directly at the entrance so they can spy on you. I don't pay VRBO to have owners spy on me. Owner left instructions to hand wash dishes and place in the dry rack on departure. What is wrong with the dishwasher - does it not work. I personally do not recommend this property - especially because of the game camera pointing at when you enter and leave - are there other cameras? Land scape was unkept and not mowed.

Beautiful Cabin in a great area

The cabin is a beautiful handcrafted home in a great area for whatever you're interested are... hiking, biking, shopping, dining or just relaxing. Host has the place extremely well stocked. Plenty of towels, linen bath items etc. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare any meal. Extremely clean and welcoming Highly recommended

Beautiful and Peaceful Place to Stay

This is a beautiful property. I loved the covered porch at the front door. It's a big porch and that came in handy when we encountered a lot of rain. There is also a covered back porch with seating off the main level. Downstairs, there is a walkout onto a covered patio with a swing. We enjoyed all aspects of this home and appreciated the ability to bring our furbaby with us as well. We saw deer on the back lawn each morning. The place is very secluded but close enough to other places to go if the urge strikes. We enjoyed our stay here!
