Comfy home in Bagdad Kentucky on peaceful acre of land. Twenty-two distilleries located within 60 minutes drive (7 less than 30 minutes). Less than 1 hour to Churchill Downs, Keeneland or Valhalla Golf Club. General store/deli right across the street serving best burgers and bbq in Shelby County. Sleeps 8 people. Quasi commercial kitchen with huge refrigerator, three compartment sink and ice machine with 90 pounds of cooler filling ice. Enclosed porch with ping pong table; fire pit and chairs just outside the back door in the very large yard. Guests have access to entire property.

We LOVE this little town!

Second visit to Bagdad. Nice to stay out “away from the maddening crowd”, yet convenient to many distilleries and Lexington and Shelbyville. Very comfortable and well-appointed. Love sitting outside in the morning with our coffee and in the evening with our bourbons. Enjoy just walking across the street to B & N Food Mart and having breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. If you are there on a Saturday, make sure to walk over to the market next to the food mart. There is a lady there that makes the best sour dough bread and of course, Henry with his well priced meats - all natural. Thanks, Henry, see you next visit!

Bagdad

Henry has a beautiful VRBO. Very comfortable, location worked out great. The B &N market across the street is the best. Great food and people are so friendly. Thanks for everything.

Nice crib

This house is very nice inside, and the property manager is nice and attentive. The location took me by surprise it's right in downtown Bagdad on the main strip. I would still recommend it though.

Country Charm

If you want to get a authentic feel for Kentucky charm, this is the place. Henry has done a fabulous job in the appointment of this cottage, right down to having the birds singing to you as you wake in the morning. And what a pleasure sitting in the rockers on the front porch in the mornings with coffee and at night with a bourbon. And did I say that you are close to many fine distilleries? The deli across the street has delicious food from the beef brisket to all the many kinds of homemade pies besides their boast of the best hamburger around. Henry was quick to respond to any text that I sent. While I came on this trip with girl friends, I will return with my husband in tow for our next Bourbon trip. This is a place that I definitely will return to. Thank you, Henry, for your hospitality!

Derby + Bourbon

It was perfect! Very clean and spacious. Easy to get to Louisville on Derby day and we loved how centrally located this Vrbo is to so many distilleries. We were sad to leave. The industrial kitchen was super fun to experience and it was super easy to communicate with the owner! We loved everything about our time in Bagdad. Thank you!
