About this space
Parris on Main Street is the perfect location to enjoy the historic town of Shelbyville and, a few blocks walking distance to many antique shops, local coffee houses and great locations to grab a bite to eat.

Newly renovated, built in 1942, this house is perfect for a family or group of friends wanting to experience the wonderful places Kentucky has to offer. Right in the middle the Bourbon Trail and about 30 minutes from Churchill Downs

The space -
This house features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms plus an additional sleep room off the sun-room in the second bedroom.

The master bedroom is a dream! Complete with it's own private sun-room with seating and coffee maker in the back, plus a private bathroom with a brand new large walk-in shower.


Guest access
Front door has keypad - guests will be sent code before arrival.

The house is located right there in the heart of downtown on Main Street, with a private driveway and parking in the back of the house.

Other things to note -
While we have preserved the originality of the home including gorgeous hardwood throughout. We have added new modifications and modern appliances for a more comfortable stay.

Also the house has an air mattress with sheets, as well as a pack n play.



Please enjoy your stay. You have full access to the home and all the amenities! We appreciate privacy and want to make sure you have the same. However, we are a phone call away if there are any issues.

Hulu is setup on the TV - Parris on Main Guest; please enjoy

Any food/drink in the house is fair game - help yourself.

Check out - we do not require any special cleaning as you pay for that luxury. If you would like to start the dishwasher or laundry on the way out, that would be great, but 100% optional.

This place was perfect, amenities were awesome, wives didn't want to leave, decor. Was beautiful,games ,we played some poker after a dinner downtown.we visted some distilleries,huge shower,I think I got my steps In at the same time,a perfect 10 and would recommend unless we were in town again

Kitchen was terrific complete with all dishes, appliances, condiments, etc. Nice washer and dryer in there as well. The house was clean and had full sets of sheets and towels. The "third" bedroom is a very small room on the first floor with a day bed that does convert to a "king" but it is two twin mattresses so you get the gap between. Water pressure for the showers is adequate but could be improved. The house is right on Main Street, which is a one-way two lane road with high traffic volume, so often a bit noisy. Nice living room with a TV and lots of games, dining room with room for 8 or more, and two nice sized bedrooms with two baths upstairs. Overall, for what the cost was the experience was very good and I would recommend it.

We had a great stay! The house is quite charming and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing girls' trip. Plenty of space and good A/C (we were there in August). Walkable to several shops and restaurants and a short drive to other amenities. Would 100% stay again!

We stayed for just one night, as we were literally passing through traveling home. This home had plenty of parking and was easy to find and get into the property. There are many positives: roomy for a group, large bedrooms, hot water for showers, and a wonderful booklet filled with area highlights, shopping, and restaurants. Our 17 yr old thought he died and went to heaven with the Xbox :) My husband was concerned about the master shower floor which seemed very slippery. That could be remedied with a mat. Overall, very happy with our stay.

Poor water pressure in the shower. Bedsheets were 100% polyester and very uncomfortably hot since AC was insufficient in cooling the upstairs. Front bedroom bed mattress was uncomfortable and main bedroom mattress was very high and difficult to get in and out of without doing high jumps to get in. Main floor bathroom sink was dangerous since it was not wall mounted and nearly fell off its narrow pedestal base. Another upstairs sink was not wall mounted. Ants were present in one of the upstairs bathroom.

This house is in a nice location and had charm and nice upgrades in the kitchen. However, the description of beds for each bedroom was incorrect. There are only two bedrooms that have queen beds. The third bedroom is the size of a closet and has a single bed - the description states there is a king bed
 that was not found. We, unfortunately traveled with 3 couples who are all tall and were led to believe there were three bedrooms as listed in the description.The house had a window in the upstairs bedroom that had open air due to the window being old and receding from the frame which made that bedroom very warm. They tried to rectify by adding an air conditioning unit but that caused the room to have extra moisture and a very uncomfortable sleeping experience. The house smelled of stale smoke and the beds were very uncomfortable. I would not choose this rental again.
