About this space
Parris on Main Street is the perfect location to enjoy the historic town of Shelbyville and, a few blocks walking distance to many antique shops, local coffee houses and great locations to grab a bite to eat.

Newly renovated, built in 1942, this house is perfect for a family or group of friends wanting to experience the wonderful places Kentucky has to offer. Right in the middle the Bourbon Trail and about 30 minutes from Churchill Downs

The space -
This house features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms plus an additional sleep room off the sun-room in the second bedroom.

The master bedroom is a dream! Complete with it's own private sun-room with seating and coffee maker in the back, plus a private bathroom with a brand new large walk-in shower.


Guest access
Front door has keypad - guests will be sent code before arrival.

The house is located right there in the heart of downtown on Main Street, with a private driveway and parking in the back of the house.

Other things to note -
While we have preserved the originality of the home including gorgeous hardwood throughout. We have added new modifications and modern appliances for a more comfortable stay.

Also the house has an air mattress with sheets, as well as a pack n play.



Please enjoy your stay. You have full access to the home and all the amenities! We appreciate privacy and want to make sure you have the same. However, we are a phone call away if there are any issues.

Hulu is setup on the TV - Parris on Main Guest; please enjoy

Any food/drink in the house is fair game - help yourself.

Check out - we do not require any special cleaning as you pay for that luxury. If you would like to start the dishwasher or laundry on the way out, that would be great, but 100% optional.

This property was perfect for my family. The off street parking was ideal. There were nice walking areas for our dog and he also loved laying on the covered front porch. We would sit in the rocking chairs and talk and relax. Our adult children enjoyed walking for exercise and to go out to eat. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Overall a very good house for our needs.

Such a cute and spacious place. I’ve never stayed in a vacation rental that exceeded my expectations like this. The extremely well appointed kitchen, the cute bathrooms, the spacious parking and the amazing front porch were the standouts for me. Also the property is centrally located in town. Just a short walk from the Bell House Restaurant too. To paraphrase a sign from one of the bathrooms 5 stars. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay! The house is quite charming and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing girls' trip. Plenty of space and good A/C (we were there in August). Walkable to several shops and restaurants and a short drive to other amenities. Would 100% stay again!

The house is historical and has that charm, which we loved. However, the listing says the house sleeps 9 with 3 bedrooms: 1st bedroom had a queen, 2nd bedroom had a queen with a twin and the 3rd bedroom had a king. It also states that the living room had a queen. The first bedroom on the main floor did not have a queen, it was a twin with no closet and a side access door to a wheel chair ramp. The second bedroom did have a queen and a twin. The third bedroom did not have a king, it was a queen. The living room did not have a queen. We found some air mattresses that 3 of my 4 kids slept on (there were 4 adults and 5 kids) but both leaked air. The main thing for our family was the sleeping arrangements: there were only 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. The rest of our kids had to sleep on air mattresses that leaked.

This place was perfect, amenities were awesome, wives didn't want to leave, decor. Was beautiful,games ,we played some poker after a dinner downtown.we visted some distilleries,huge shower,I think I got my steps In at the same time,a perfect 10 and would recommend unless we were in town again
