The Barn House est une maison unique et magnifique qui était autrefois une grange. En 2001, il s’est transformé pour devenir quelque chose de tout à fait magique et c’est maintenant une expérience pays précieuse mise à votre disposition. Que vous soyez un groupe de deux ou plusieurs personnes ... famille, groupe d'amis, groupe d'entreprises, retraites ... la Barn House est une opportunité pour une expérience plutôt que pour un simple événement. La beauté de la campagne vous entourera, à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur, avec des vues qui gardent leur magie à chaque saison, et l'intérieur de la grange avec son bois, sa pierre et ses vitraux vous laissera bouche bée devant tout ce qu'elle offre.

Lorsque vous louez la grange, elle est entièrement meublée avec tout ce dont vous aurez probablement besoin. Si nous avons besoin de quelque chose de plus, nous ferons de notre mieux dans la tradition de l'hospitalité du pays, pour vous accueillir ... et pour que votre séjour soit précieux Mémoire.

Que vous envisagiez de visiter les nombreuses attractions de la région ... le sentier du patrimoine de 26 km, une piste cyclable, les vignobles, le Field of Dreams, le musée Riverboat, Galena, le ski à Sundown ou tout simplement profiter du calme et la sérénité du pays, la Barn House répondra à vos besoins. Very unique home with a ton of space to accommodate a nice crowd. The house is well maintained and clean for a comfortable stay. The host is an incredible lady who really worked with us on check in and check out time because we were there for a baseball tournament with a moving target schedule. She also made us delicious cookies and greeted us with a tour! 10/10 and will absolutely stay again!

We love the barn!

This was a perfect landing spot for my four siblings and our spouses. Tons of space to spread out, a great fireplace, and the best kitchen we’ve seen for a large group. We hope to visit again.

We stayed here during the Field of Dreams baseball tournament in nearby Dyersville and it was the perfect home base. The peaceful country setting, surrounded by beautiful farmland, was just what we needed to relax after long days at the ballfields. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, plus fun extras like horseshoes, ping pong, and plenty of space for the kids to run around. The host was super thoughtful and made us feel right at home; she even stopped by with donuts on Sunday morning! Really appreciated the hospitality. Thanks for a great stay!

Family Weekend

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barn House. Gerarda and her family made us feel very welcome, and responded immediately when when we had questions. The setting is beautiful, and the house was fun to explore, with new things to discover in every room. It has plenty of space to spread out as well as cozy spots to congregate and socialize. We would definitely visit again!

Perfect getaway

Pictures don’t do the property justice. The house had everything needed for our stay. We had 12 people in our group and had plenty of space. Enjoyed the screened in porch at night and the large lawn during the day. Would stay here again.

Great escape

This is our second time staying at the Barnhouse with friends and family. Both times we had wonderful experiences; it is a true escape property equipped with great amenities to entertain children and adults. We loved cooking in using the kitchen and the kids enjoyed the game room and fireplace. I highly recommend!

Family getaway

We had a great time at the Barn House, we especially enjoyed the big screened-in porch. The views from every window in the house were spectacular, even though we were a little early to see the peak fall colors. We played board games on the huge dinning room table and started a puzzle on the small table next to it. I would highly recommend the Barn House for your next Iowa getaway. The warm cinnamon rolls delivered Sunday morning were a tasty surprise, Thanks.

Enjoyable Family Time

We enjoyed our stay at the Barn House! It was great to have such a large place to accommodate our large extended family. We had 21 family members come together for a getaway, and there was room for everyone! Kitchen was well supplied with items that we needed and although the commercial stove/oven is not completely functioning currently, we were still able to make the meals we had planned because of an additional stove/oven that was available for use. We appreciated the hosts checking in on us to make sure we had all of our needs met, and we especially appreciated the fresh cinnamon rolls delivered check-out morning!

More towel bars, hangers/hooks in bathrooms and kitchen. Oil some of the door hinges. Latch/handle on main door loose. Gerarda was great at meeting us there. Dn. Tony was there in a few minutes to take care of a water problem. Need one more horse shoe to play horseshoes.The Barn house provides a spectacular stay for a large group. We left with so many wonderful memories of sing alongs in the main living room as well as the patio, and coffee on the deck while watching the cows. A campfire and T-ball game in the yard, and many conversations around the big beautiful kitchen island. We loved our stay at the Barn house!

What a great place to stay and unwind!!

My turn to pick a place for 5 couples to enjoy a long October weekend, and this year we stayed at the Barn House. What an amazing place!! Tons of room, we hardly used the first floor at all. It was great to have a nice sized bedroom for each of our couples and plenty of bathrooms as well. The Heritage Bike Trail is just south of the house and we all brought our bikes and rode. A fun way to spend a blizzard weekend

We knew the weather was going to be terrible cold and blizzard so several friends got together rented the house spent time playing games doing puzzles laughing reading napping a beautiful weekend. The lowet level was very cold but had a good time nonetheless. The homeowner was a peach! So accomodating. She even brought us breakfast the morning we were checking out warm cinnamon rolls yum yum

Great place for a family reunion!

This Barn House was a great place to give my family a taste of Iowa! There were plenty of places to sleep, sit and eat, and spread out throughout the property. With 25 people, we didn’t feel cramped at all. There were plenty of dishes, but if you have young children and don’t want to worry about breaking anything, I’d recommend bringing paper plates and cups as there was no plastic ware. The kids really loved the garage area with the ping pong table and skee-ball and there was plenty of space to store our bicycles in the garage, too. I was a little worried it might get hot and stuffy with all the windows and so many people, but the A/C worked well and we were very comfortable. The host was really nice and personable and made our stay very enjoyable. Thanks Gerarda!

Peaceful & spacious

11 of us really enjoyed the property. It is very spacious with a great kitchen setup for cooking and a really nice 5 burner grill outside! Lots of deck space and patio furniture. The home was well stocked with supplies including firewood. The property owner met me at the property to show me around and answered all my questions. The upstairs can get a little warm in the afternoon but cools down nicely at night. Fans are provided. Great wood burning fireplace in the living room. I would definitely return! Close to field of dreams, skiing, wineries, Heritage Hiking trail...

Perfect relaxation

Our group came here to relax for a few days at the end of our vacation and it was just what we needed. We were lucky enough to have nice weather so we were able to enjoy the large yard playing bags and horseshoes and it had enough room for the kids to run wild and burn off all their energy. The views across the field in the morning when the sun is coming up is magical. It's the perfect time to read a good book on the porch with a nice cup of coffee. The property was well stocked with anything you could need but close enough to town if you forgot something while still having that out in the middle of nowhere vibe. Close to field of dreams for a little sightseeing. The host even brough freahly baked cinnamon rolls before we checked out which was a nice touch. Highly recommended booking this rental. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful, spacious, clean

Gerarda was very welcoming and accommodating. The property is "Wow!!" We had 8 adults and 8 children age 1 to 13 and there was more than enough space for all. The kids loved playing hide and seek in the house as well as plenty of room outside to play. The kitchen is very well stocked, beds were comfotable, and plenty of big couches for visiting. One complaint was that the weather was very hot, but that was not in anyone's control! Fortunately the air conditioning worked great. We visited Grand Harbor Water Park and Backbone State Park and enjoyed both very much. We would definitely recommend this property. Our only complaint was that the game room was outdated and not really usable.

Wedding Group

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views from the window are breathtaking beautiful. The owners were very nice and accommodating as I had to add more people and take some away who couldn’t come. The house is very cool inside and very clean. There was plenty of room for our 20 people who came for our daughter’s wedding. It was kid friendly also. We had a 5, 3 year old and a 5 month old with us and there were little beds for them and pack and play for my 5 month old great nephew. One thing that was really awesome was the amount of seating around the tables and the sofas. We were all around the dining room table one night having a blast. It was nice not to be in separated places in the house. I highly recommend staying here, it will not disappoint. We would love to go back again with our friends and family again.

Guys Golf Getaway... and Horseshoes

Wow! You recognize your good fortune upon arrival and repeatedly at every vantage point in the home - and out on the decks, patio and huge yard. A myriad of places throughout the three floors to gather or retreat. The Views are spectacular. The Privacy - priceless. The kitchen with commercial fridge & stove, pantry, massive island/breakfast bar and stocked cabinets makes preparing big meals easy and FUN. Outdoor grill too. Every bathroom is clean and equipped with towels etc. If you draw the 3rd floor master - take advantage of the jacuzzi tub. Horseshoes, ping pong, skee ball, board games etc. Fireplaces and a fire pit. Golf, skiing and trails close by. Field of Dreams is 10 minutes away - so don’t forget to bring a bat, ball and glove. Is this Heaven? No, it is the Barn House. Gerarda, Tony and family make you feel at home and part of the family. Thanks!! Did I mention the Horseshoes?

Wonderful stay

Our recent stay at this VRBO barn house was nothing short of magical. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, this property provided the perfect retreat for our large group of 20 people. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view that greeted us every morning. Surrounded by farms, the barn house offered panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside, creating a sense of tranquility and serenity that is hard to find elsewhere. The spacious layout of the house was another standout feature. With ample room for all our guests to spread out and unwind, it felt like our own private oasis. Whether we were gathered in the cozy living area, admiring the view from the expansive windows, or enjoying meals together in the dining space, every moment was infused with a sense of warmth and comfort. The charm of the barn house extended beyond its interior, with the outdoor area offering plenty of opportunities for relaxation and recreation. From playing in the massive driveway to evenings spent gathered around the fire pit under the starry sky, there was no shortage of ways to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. I must also commend the host for their hospitality and attention to detail. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. The owner even brought treats for our our group which was so nice. Overall we highly recommend this place and will be visiting again!

Great place to celebrate Thanksgiving together!

There were only 12 of us in a barn/house that sleeps 20 plus. We had plenty of space and bathrooms. Additionally, there were two separate family rooms, each with a TV, so those who needed to watch football - vocally - could without disturbing those who did not want to watch football! The views around the barn/house were gorgeous. It had everything we needed including a table that all 12 of us could sit around.

The inside has been furnished and designed in a way to provide your family/group so much space and seating that you can be together for meals and separated for the different activities you desire. The outside space gives you so much room for games and enjoyment...and you can sit around the campfire and make incredible memories.
