The house was lovely. The area was beautiful. The outside furniture could use some TLC. The Property Manager was OUTSTANDING! She answered every question and was just ontop of everything.

Communication was frustrating and lacking with no welcome packet upon arrival. The area was peaceful and beautiful but we had to find out when amenities on the grounds opened.

The inside of the house was clean, organized, and comfortable, and we were happy with that part of our stay. However, we were very disappointed with the outdoor area. The patio was in poor condition, the outdoor furniture and cushions were very dirty and stained, and some areas appeared to have mildew. The patio floor was also very worn and in need of maintenance. One of the reasons we chose this house was to enjoy the outdoor space, but unfortunately we did not feel comfortable using the seating area because of its condition. We also contacted the host during our stay to let them know about the condition of the outdoor area, but unfortunately we did not receive a response.Overall, the inside of the house was nice, but the outdoor area definitely needs much more cleaning, maintenance, and attention. I hope the owner takes care of these issues for future guests.

Great place to spend the week !

My family and I really enjoyed this property. It’s quiet, private and just as listed. The owner and host were great and super responsive. Check in couldn’t have been any easier.! My son loved the private pool and hot tub and we really enjoyed the community amenities (pool and lake etc.) and a favorable mention to the awesome refrigerator! And of course the deer that came up to us every day made it even more memorable. We will be back .

Great weekend getaway

My girlfriend and I went up to stay for the weekend. We had an amazing time while at the house. The place was cozy and quiet with a nice fireplace. We used hot tub several times and it aas so relaxing. Even the deer would come within feet of you in the tub. It was a very unique and fun weekend.

This property is run down due to lack of maintenance. The yard is overgrown, the patio near the pool is crumbling away, making it impossible to walk on, & the outdoor furniture is disgusting with mold/mildew. (the host blamed this on the Canadian wildfires!) The pool was dirty. Inside was ‘ok’, but features broken handrails, loose moulding, dirty carpets/rugs etc. It’s run down in areas. We received one bath towel for each person, but there were no hand towels, wash cloths or any kitchen linens provided. Host rep said he would send these items over, but never did. Listing claims there are air conditioners in each room, but only 2 of the 3 bedrooms had them. A big complaint is that the listing I booked did not say they had outdoor cameras, but there were 3. One of them pointed directly at the spa/pool. Gross. Host claims that since the cameras can be seen in the photos provided no rules were broken, but the policy states that it must be written in the property description. It was not. Huge disappointment from the host and the booking agent. We did not receive good value for our money with this property & the host was difficult to communicate with. He harped on specific defects we pointed out (so we weren’t held responsible for them when we left) & pretended those flaws were what we complained about and ignored the large issues we faced. Also, even after asking, there were no instructions on accessing the neighborhood amenities we were entitled to. Very disappointing stay.

Not as advertised/ Host wont respond

Many aesthetic issues with the place not seen in photos. Outdoor area not kept up at all- pool rusty, hot tub functions dont work. Cleaning people were there when we were trying to check in, code given was wrong for door. Mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. I personally tried to contact the host for a refund review, and vrbo staff did as well, and they will not respond to either of us. Not as seen in photos- not well maintained. I can say the area in general is nice and quiet.

Disappointing

We picked this location for its proximity to ski slopes and water parks but picked this rental in particular b/c of the games and foosball table so we could play with our kids. Unfortunately there were NO balls for the table and when I tried to communicate with the owner about that and another question about how to work the ceiling fan he never replied. My husband and I felt cramped and the furniture and bed was pretty uncomfortable. My teens thought it was fine… just a place to rest when not out having fun.Bring your own foosball’s!

Summer Family Getaway

We came up for a nice family getaway from the city. The house was as advertised and the beds were super comfortable. The kids loved the fossball and pac man machine. The weather was mid 70s so we asked for the pool to be heated and it was! The hot tub was also very comfortable and enjoyable. The host left coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, tide pods, dishwasher pods, sponges, bath towels and clothes. The house was very clean. Everything was in working order. Beautiful appliances in the kitchen. The host answered all our questions promptly. We also had access to the public pool, beach and paddle boats! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because garbage disposal was not explained properly and we were asked to pay a disposal fee in addition to our cleaning fee AFTER checkout. The expectation is that you put trash in your car and take it to a disposal site. Not something we knew about or felt comfortable doing. But this was our only complaint. Everything else was great!

BEWARE…

I, like others, decide on where I’m staying based on amenities. If the rental doesn’t have those amenities or if they are misrepresented, that’s a problem for me. The house itself was fine. Far from fantastic or great but also not terrible or bad. It should have been left cleaner as there was still food in the sink. The real sticking points was the advertised “air conditioning”. If it’s been in the 90’s it’s important for me to have AC. When a property is advertised as having AC, that’s what I expect to find. Not a portable window unit that sits in the living room and is supposed to cool the whole house. NOTE-before leaving this review I tried contacting the owner. He apparently doesn’t think it’s important enough and has ghosted me.
