Cozy retreat in the woods

A lovely family vacation home in the woods. You will approach the house via a gravel road and enter the world of nature’s tranquility. Full sized kitchen with the granite countertops and all the equipment you need to whip up that special family meal. The piano in the main living room will awaken a musician in you. Enjoy a beautiful porch for family gatherings and conversations or star gazing at night. Outdoor charcoal grill is at your service for a cook out. During the day you can visit historic Jim Thorpe (5 min away) and the surrounding area. During the summer enjoy a splash in the pool at the Ukrainian Homestead. During winter time hit the slopes at the major ski resorts that are 20-50 min away. After an eventful day, take a rest in our tastefully appointed bedrooms and an outside hot tub. We have children’s corner with toys and legos in the basement living room. We hope you fall in love with the nature’s tranquility and beauty just like we did. For the safety of our guests, there is outside video monitoring. Please note there is absolutely NO PETS of any kind allowed in the house due to severe family pet dander allergies (we also use this home as our weekend retreat throughout the year). Thank you for understanding. Please review house rules before booking.

Nice clean house,the host was very accommodating and quick to respond. Would stay here again! The only suggestion I have is adding a washer and dryer for the convenience of the guests. Great location,beautiful scenery!

The property was nice and the neighbors were very friendly. When we got there they were paving, so a little confused till we talk to the host. The road was a little bumpy getting to the property. The house was very clean and beautiful. We needed a few things for cooking that wasn’t there like measuring cups and spoons. Maybe a few more dish towels to use. Plenty of room for the Girls weekend away (4 of us).

Tidy home with all necessary amenities provided, including all kitchen necessities, select toiletries, coffee/chocolates, condiments and spices. Beds were very comfortable and linens were of good quality. Instruction guide had all the information needed about the home and the local neighborhood including restaurant and entertainment options. Host was extremely responsive to emails and was very pleasant to communicate with. If we aver gave a reason to stay in theat area again, we will definitely rebook if it remains an option.

Good gathering space for family

Family get away

Had a great time exploring the Jim Thorpe area. We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was clean and in a quiet wooded neighborhood. Would definitely recomend.

Just the very best weekend

The house was so clean and cozy, it has plenty of room for a family to stay together in and not be on top of each other. The house is very convenient to lots of attractions in the area, it was a lovely weekend and we would stay there again

Friends Reunion trip

We just wanted to thank you for sharing your property with us! We loved how spacious and charming the home was — it made for a really fun and memorable stay. We would definitely stay here again!One small note: we had a little trouble with the hot tub — we couldn't get the temperature to go higher, and it would have been perfect for the cooler nights. Also, the AC didn't seem to cool the house much, so it stayed a bit warmer inside.Other than that, everything was great, and we had an absolute blast. Thanks again for hosting us!

Home away from home

This was the perfect space to relax after spending the day in Jim Thorp. The house has plenty of room to recharge together or separate. The space is neat, clean and cozy. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day of walking. This rental gives a you home away from home feeling.

Ski Retreat

My family and I traveled to the Poconos to go skiing. The house served our needs comfortably; there were enough rooms for our 3 children to have their own room. It was located relatively close to the mountain, andand it was clean and neat. The owners were kind enough to send us a hoodie my son left. The only amenity we didn't have was use of the laundry machine; after skiing our snow clothes were wet and it would've been great to be able to put them in the dryer rather than leave them by the heater. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the house. Thanks!

Fun Getaway!

We had a great time for our annual Dads and Kids ski weekend. The house accommodated our large group with plenty of rooms and sleeping options. The hot tub was popular as was the foosball table. Also some nice touches like shampoos and coffees and creams. Always appreciate those little offerings. Comfortable and clean!
