We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Very clean and charming. We will be staying here again for our next trip this way.

Very nicely supplied with necessities for a VRBO. And very clean. If you are a light sleeper, the train will be a problem. Backyard is not as pictured in post.

Very nice and clean home that was prepared well for us upon entry. There is a train track literally 20 feet from the front door. It runs intermittently, but at the time we were there, train track crews worked all day every day directly in front of the house. The house is indeed by the river which you can see, but there is no access to walk down the cliff to get to it. Enfield as a neighborhood is scary. The owners / property managers are putting in effort and doing the best they can under the circumstances, which is why the total review is 4/5 stars.

Beautiful Home on the River

We stayed at this lovely home because it was close to my famiys house. The host was easy to reach and we had no check in issues. The back yard was amazing and the deck looked out on to the CT river. We didnt have time to use the firepit but loved having the option. The train does run through and is a stones throw from the front of the house but it didnt really bother us and my daughter slept through it in the back bedroom. We would definately stay there again.

After a Mix-Up....We had a nice stay

After a long day of traveling, we arrived at the address listed. Unfortunately, it was the wrong address (but owned by the same host). When I saw it had nothing other than furniture (no coffee pop, no plates, no nothing) I was beyond upset and sent a very terse note to the host. However, as it turns out...we spoke to the host and found out it was the wrong address/house (the same code was used for both homes). The host was very kind and understanding. Once we got it sorted out and drove to the house that is listed, we breathed a HUGE sigh of relief. THe home is lovely, very comfortable, clean, well equipped. The river in the back is very nice plus. We had a nice sign with our name on it that welcomed us. It is nicely decorated and had everything needed. The only caveat is the train ...it is about 60 feet from the house - it runs at night about 4 times per night. So...if you are a light sleeper and/or have difficulty getting back to sleep - I'd suggest you bring some ear plugs. I should note that the host called back after our initial mix up to make sure all was ok. We appreciated the follow up call. I also felt bad about my very terse note and sent an apology note....she was more than gracious and understood.
