Beautiful brand new apartment, AMAZING location!

We stayed in JAX this weekend for a concert and originally we looked into a hotel room- we came across this apartment in the heart of downtown so we decided to take the jump even though the listing had 0 reviews. Upon arrival it was clear why the listing had no reviews… it was brand new! The entire building has been beautifully redone… if you go on Google Maps it is all boarded up from 2019 footage but they have done a beautiful job restoring the original building. We particularly appreciated the security entering and exiting the building and we noticed the security guard ensuring our safety each night. Would highly recommend trying out Urban Grind Coffee Co. and WildKats Records Bar and Grill. We returned to both several times during our stay. The only constructive feedback I would have received would be that the kitchen was stocked but lacking in some areas. We could not locate a baking sheet for cookies or any larger bowls. As a chef I would have also loved to see a stainless steel pan, but this is getting into picky details and preferences ;). We loved this building and area and we will absolutely be back!!! Thank you!!!

Almost perfect

So, the check in process was a little confusing. The original link I received did not have the code for the front door of the building. Also, the code to the door of the apartment was kind of buried in the message and the instructions were not very clear, so that delayed my plans a bit. They were responsive and I was able to get them on the phone quickly to get both things resolved. The apartment was the perfect location for me and it was immaculate. Everything in the room worked as it should. The last thing I'll say, and maybe this is a general complaint for most VRBO properties is that they charged a hefty fee for apartment clean up, but then also add all these instructions, like taking out the trash, washing al the dishes, etc., with the threat of keeping the security deposit if it isn't done. I know this may seem petty, but if I'm paying a cleaning fee for 2 nights, I expect that to pay for trash pick up, dish washing, and everything else that may need cleaning.
