Really nice place to stay will nice views of the beach. Would stay here next time we travel to Panama City Beach. Easy access to the beach and walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Great Condo

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst vacation rental experiences we’ve had. When we arrived, we found stained bedding, mold in the showers, roaches, a broken soap dispenser, and dishes still sitting in the dishwasher from the previous guests. The refrigerator also had a strong fish smell that made it unpleasant to use.We reached out to the host about the issues halfway through our stay, hoping they would take the concerns seriously. Instead, the response was essentially, “That’s Florida for you,” along with being told that we should have mentioned everything at check-in. We shouldn’t have to inspect every inch of a rental upon arrival to discover basic cleanliness and maintenance problems. This place needs a full refresh and remodel before renting out to anyone else. The whole place smelled musty and old like a motel. The condition of the property made us so uncomfortable that we ultimately left a full day early. We understand that things can occasionally go wrong, but the cleanliness issues, pests, and the host’s response made this stay especially disappointing. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Hi Kristina - thank you for sharing your feedback. We take guest comfort seriously and want to address the timeline here for clarity. You checked in on Thursday and didn’t reach out to us about any concerns until Saturday afternoon — day 3 of a 4-night stay. As soon as we heard from you, we responded within the hour, offering to send our housekeeping and maintenance team to address the bathroom, refrigerator, and bedding right away, and explained what you were seeing (mildew common to our humid climate, and palmetto bugs, which are common outdoors in Florida and not indicative of an unclean unit). You declined the on-site visit, and instead asked for a price adjustment. Per our signed rental agreement, we ask guests to report any issues at check-in so we can resolve them promptly during the stay — that’s also the window in which a price adjustment can be considered. Because we weren’t notified until the stay was nearly over, we weren’t able to do either. We’ve since had the unit re-inspected and addressed the fridge and linens. We’re sorry the stay didn’t meet your expectations and wish we’d had the chance to make it right while you were still there. Safe travels.
