My family stayed at this cute cabin back in March so I am a little late with this review. However, it was so great that it is worth taking the time to let you all know. The location is great and the description of the cabin is perfect. The host is very responsive and understanding. I had to switch my dates around because my fur baby got very sick and she helped me do that without any issues. I would recommend you stay here and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Wonderful weekend get away!

Beautiful property, quiet and secluded, but not too far from the main attactions of Big Bear. Really loved this place and the owners are awesome to deal with!

Weekend getaway

With a great view and a cozy environment Nordik Eskape was the perfect location for our small group of 3 to relax and enjoy. The residence was clean and neat, had all the amenities including kitchenware and laundry, and was conveniently located for travel by foot and car.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The space was so thoughtfully and tastefully decorated—it had this calm, cozy vibe that instantly made us feel at home. Every little detail felt intentional, and it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Peggy was amazing—so kind and helpful throughout our planning. She made everything super easy and was always quick to respond whenever we had a question. Honestly, the whole experience was just smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We’d stay again in a heartbeat.

Beautifully furnished and decorated property. If you don’t like stairs this isn’t for you because there’s stairs both inside and outside. The owners are very easy to work with and responsive.

It is very quaint and cozy. The hosts have ensured that all the necessities for a home away from home are present. It is very clean and well maintained. Perfect for any celebration, occasion, or just a get away. The decor and atmosphere are very inviting and make you feel like you are visiting abroad. All the modern smart features are a plus. It all makes for a very comfortable stay and we will be going back when we return to the big bear area.

Nordik Eskape (true spelling!) is a really special place. The owners took a dark wood interior and put a *lot* of white paint on it, giving the property a light and bright appearance - looks great! The huge windows in the living room let in lots of light and sky.The bedroom is in a second story loft with a queen-size bed. The loft has a spacious outside balcony. The sofa in the living room converts to a bed.The owners furnished the property in IKEA, but this is not meant as humor; the furnishings really fit the property well and add to the overall Scandinavian look and feel.This is a great lodging for anyone who wants to cook, and eat in. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove and oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The location is in the mostly residential Big Bear City (compared to the more touristy Big Bear Village community with its many stores and restaurants); you are only a couple of blocks from an independent market where you can get most everything you might need. If you're not an "eat-in" person, you are about a 15-minute drive to the cafes in the Village.I should mention that there are stairs: one flight up from the driveway to the entrance, and another flight up to the bedroom in the second story loft. There are full bathrooms on each level so no worries about getting to the bathroom.I can't say enough about Peggy and Christian, the owners. Peggy was incredibly responsive to any questions we had, and check-in was a breeze.We'd stay here again.
