Belle, spacieuse, 3 chambres, 2 salles de bains, maison familiale dans les Berkshires située sur un chemin privé sur l'étang limpide de Richmond avec quai privé pour la baignade et la navigation de plaisance. Notre maison dans les Berkshires est confortable et propre avec des planchers de bois franc, des puits de lumière, des placards spacieux et des boiseries. Il a été récemment rénové, avec une toute nouvelle combinaison de bain-douche, un nouveau lave-vaisselle, un nouveau réfrigérateur, un nouveau poêle, une laveuse et une sécheuse éconergétiques et un aménagement paysager luxuriant. Il y a des climatiseurs dans chacune des 3 chambres et un en bas dans le salon / salle à manger. Il y a de nombreux livres, jeux, une cuisine entièrement équipée avec une table et six chaises ainsi qu'une table de salle à manger supplémentaire pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes. Nous fournissons des draps propres, une chaloupe, un kayak, un pédalo, des gilets de sauvetage et de nombreux jouets aquatiques. La maison peut accueillir 7 personnes dans des chambres confortables. Il y a une grande terrasse en bois avec une table, un parasol et des chaises, et une deuxième douche dans un bâtiment adjacent avec beaucoup d'eau chaude. Ne pas fumer. Internet sans fil Spectrum de bonne qualité est fourni, ainsi que la télévision par câble (écran plat), DVD et magnétoscope. (Notez que le WIFI a été installé en 2016, donc les critiques précédentes ne le répertorient pas.) La pêche est excellente à Richmond Pond; il est approvisionné avec une variété de perches, de graines de citrouille, de brèmes, de crapets arlequins, de bars, de taureaux, d'ombles de fontaine, de truites brunes, de chiots, de bars à grande bouche et de brochets. Il se trouve à 15 minutes en voiture de Tanglewood (résidence d'été du Boston Symphony); également proche du Berkshire Theatre Festival, Stockbridge; Stade Barrington, Pittsfield; Lenox; Great Barrington; Oreiller de Jacob; et Williamstown. L'aéroport d'Albany est à 1 heure. La randonnée, le vélo et le ski nautique sont tous disponibles.

The host and home were both excellent. The house is centrally located in the Berks and was a short drive to all the major attractions including Pittsfield, Lenox and Tanglewood. Compared to other places I've stayed in, I thought that the kitchens and baths were both well stocked. The decor is charming and extremely clean! 5 stars would definitely stay again!

Cabin in the woods with all the exotic and romantic flavor included. Owner extremely helpful. This is the place if you want to be near all the major events of Berkshires ahd yet have a super get-away-lodge....with a super owner....this is the place!!!

A perfect place to retreat right off the water with a dock to enjoy the views. Quiet and peaceful. It was just my daughter, me, and our little Chihuahua that came to the area for a few days of prayer and interior peace at The National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. It was the perfect spot to come back to after a full day with God. Peaceful! The home is spacious and comfortable to fit a good sized family or friends. Full kitchen to use. Internet. All the needs one would want.Big windows in the sitting room that bring in the sun. Good hot water shower and sinks.Neighborhood cats, rabbits, and birds about. 8 min ,at most, drive to Mazzeos Italian restaurant, it was SO good. Plenty of shopping areas and stores and other restaurants to get your needs.This spot is affordable among many that aren't!A lovely place I would return.

We booked this place because of the mention of lake view. There really isn't a lake view at all though from the house as it is set back behind another house and has lots of trees in between as well. To get a view you need to walk to the dock which isn't far, but still not from the house. With no view, the house is expensive especially when you add in extra fee for any people over 2 occupancy (even though it sleeps 7; 30/day/person over 2). Living room furniture also needs to be updated to be more comfortable as futon sofa and other brown chair can't sit in for long. Pet friendly but you pay 30/day/pet. The air conditioners let in a lot of cold air as well since the sealing around it was only okay (only an issue depending on time of year - when we were there it was dropping into low 40/high 30s at night so we piled on the blankets to sleep even with heat on). It is in a good area so easy access to a lot of activities/nearby towns. Owner was responsive. It was clean, hot water in shower, lots of blankets, and kitchen was well stocked with items you'd need. Overall however we expected a lot more for the price as we've stayed in other places nearby which had a view and more comfortable. We wanted to try another lake which does look like it would be fun in warmer weather and we heard a lot from people we encountered about the fishing in it.

Some things to note:The house is not on the lake, it's maybe a hundred yards from the lake, and there is another house between this house and the lake, preventing lake views. The private dock is cool but, on our visit, smells bad - like dead fish.If you are traveling with kids or pets you should note the house is kind of close to the road, and the yard is in front of the house, not the back. Inside, the cabin is kind of dark and dingy, furnishings and lighting feel old and worn. There's not great comfortable seating for a group. Great dining table but not lounging space.There are window a/c units in the bedrooms - upstairs ones are quite noisy.There was a cockroach in the outdoor shower shed. The host has strict requirements about cleaning the house and laundering linens (above a hamperful) before you leave, or else you'll be charged an additional fee. Some good things:The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the knives are sharp - but BYO everything including S&P, oil, coffee, etc. Good internet. Plenty of sheets and towels and dishes and life vests. Rowboat was fun. All in all it feels expensive for what we got.

We have two spacious lots: one lakeside with our private dock, and one adjacent with hour home that has a large front yard, as seen in our photographs. Our listing reads “Private Dock on Lake.” Richmond Pond was treated with weed control during this stay, causing a temporary odor that is now totally gone. The Pond is one of the most pristine in the region. Our home is on a private road with very little traffic. The rooms are exactly as pictured in our photographs: light and sunny, as our other numerous reviewers have noted. The main living room has wall to wall sliding doors, a couch/futon, a comfortable armchair with ottoman stool for your feet, and 2 vintage rocking chairs, and several side tables. There is A/C in every room and if there is a problem with them, we fix it immediately. The shower in the outdoor shed may attract a spider but there are definitely no cockroaches in the 40 years we have lived there. We work with our guests about how much laundry they can leave; for example, just ask us about leaving dirty linens on the beds, and we will accommodate. Our rental rates are below market rates in our region. We aim to serve our guests!

Relaxing

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful spot. The house had everything I needed and more.It was clean and well equipped. I particularly enjoyed the private dock where I could take my dog swimming just about every day. This is what a vacation getaway should be.....relaxing!It's a great location for hitting different areas in the Berkshires. It's a quiet neighborhood as well.

This renter has rented from us 4 years in a row for over a month each year and has also reserved for 2023. I think “non-modern” refers to our vintage furniture and antique folk art decorations; our appliances have all been replaced in the last 6-8 years (refrigerator, stove, dish washer, high energy washer/dryer) and our master bath/shower was remodeled recently. In 2023 our parking area and private road will be paved.

Berkshire Rental

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent at this location. The dwelling was nicely furnished and well maintained and the pond invites recreation. If we vacation in this area again we would gladly return. The Bartlett Orchard Farm Store is a big plus and the road along the pond beach and boat launch is a great place to walk the dog.
