Still Waters - Enjoy this cabin and experience this stretch of The New River and the mountain bliss with family and friends!

The main level offers an open concept with a spacious and updated kitchen, beautifully crafted dining table and chairs with seating for eight, and a cozy living area boasting vaulted ceilings, smart TV with satellite and a stone fireplace with gas logs. Step out onto the wrap around porch to enjoy the riverview and ample seating for friends and family. Also on the main level, is a master bedroom with a king bed, smart TV with satellite, and ensuite including a walk-in shower and double vanity.

Upper level enters into a lofted space equipped with a foosball table, loveseat, a desk and chair for a remote work area. Second bedroom offers a queen bed, smart TV with satellite, and a closet offering a variety of family games and children books. Upper level offers a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

Lower level opens into a sleeping area with a queen bed, smart TV, and access to the front yard area. Also included on the lower level is the third bedroom with a twin daybed with trundle, chair, and bookshelf with more games. The lower level also accommodates a third full bathroom with a walk in shower, and a spacious laundry room area.
Explore the outdoors by relaxing on the wrap around covered porch, enjoying the firepit, and the short walk down to The New River frontage for days filled with fishing, tubing, kayaking, and canoeing with friends & family.

Wonderful vacation

This property has everything that you can ask for! The size and layout was perfect for 8 of us. The wrap around deck has beautiful views of the river and water access is practically in your front yard. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. It was close enough to town that it's an easy drive to the grocery store yet the location offers peace and tranquility. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be booking again!

Great location

The house is just as it is described in the listing and pictures. The location is perfect! Quiet neighborhood, private access to the river, and great fishing holes. No complaints whatsoever. My only suggestion is to make trash disposal a permanent part of the amenities. I understand why there is no trash service, but people vacationing don’t always have room in the vehicle to take trash to the convenience center. Also, people vacationing then have to find the convenience center location. I would rather pay a little more for my stay and have trash disposal handled. The cleaning service handled this for us, but not sure if that will always be available.

We are thankful for your 5 star review and allowing us to host you at Still Waters. We are glad you enjoyed the cabin. We always want our properties to be as advertised. This lovely home on the South Fork of the New River is a wonderful place to relax and unwind with West Jefferson just minutes away and on the way to town is the trash convenience center just 7.5 miles away. We are rural and do not have public trash pick up so we ask guest to dispose of trash or pay housekeeping to do so upon departure. We were disappointed with a couple of key features of this property that influenced our decision to book. The grill did not work. We had to find batteries for the igniter and replaced them, but it still didn’t work. Eventually we discovered the propane tank was empty. When we reached out, the property manager’s only options were for us to either go buy a tank ourselves and be reimbursed, or drive to their office to pick one up—neither of which felt like a reasonable resolution given that a working grill should have been ready when we arrived.The fireplace also did not work. The owners had provided instructions and videos, which we followed carefully, but it never turned on. We contacted the property manager for a resolution, but the modified instructions (which were different from those provided originally) also did not work. Both the grill and the fireplace were important to us when choosing between homes for our trip, so it was disappointing that neither was usable.Other than these two things, the house was wonderful and had we not planned our trip with the grill and fireplace in mind, we would’ve been very happy.
