"Camp STAR-Lite"

National Park themed, bright and sunny, south facing, one-bedroom, front unit of ranch-style duplex in easy downtown location in walking distance to the beach!

This unit features luxury vinyl throughout, timeless white appliances. Stylish Herringbone butcher-block countertops and pearlescent Subway tile backsplash brighten up the full kitchen that’s well-stocked with Fiestaware dishes, copper touches, pots and pans and an assortment of essential gadgets for your cooking pleasure!

The furnishings are a mix of vintage and new and give the space a homey and cozy vibe. Plush velvety throw pillows and bedding, smart TV for streaming, deep comfortable couch and a gas fireplace for warming up on colder nights come together for a top experience.

The private bedroom has a Queen bed. This is a platform bed with a 12" deep, medium plush, gel memory mattress.

Bed #2 is a self-inflating, Queen air bed that's provided automatically for groups of 3 or 4 and can be requested for smaller groups.
There is also a dedicated workspace in the bedroom for those who need to tuck themselves away while working remotely.

The bathroom is complete with heated flooring and a deep bathtub for soaking.
In the summer, there’s also a private patio with teak bistro set up for 2 guests to enjoy coffee or to dine al fresco in the summer.

The hosted home is located walking distance to Kings Beach State Park and sandy beach (8-minute walk or 2 minutes by car). Kings beach is a buzzing and lively neighborhood that's mostly flat and very walkable. It's also under a mile to the nearest casinos and nightlife and less than 7 miles to Northstar, the closest ski resort or downhill biking adventure.

We had an amazing stay. The property had such a warm, homey feel from the moment we walked in. It was charming, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to cook full meals and even make coffee comfortably, which truly made it feel like a home away from home. The location is also a huge plus, with Safeway just minutes away for quick and easy grocery runs.

Every corner of this house had character and charm. Yet it was the additional details that made it memorable. Thanks to there generous offer of the kayak, i finally got to go on the lake. The host really went all out to not just provide a warm cozy space, but also experience. As for the amenities, it first time a place has given me optional pillow firmness. Another over the top yet overly appreciated gesture. I've been to tahoe before yet it seems i got to really experience it. I usually stay by the ski resorts on otherside of the lake. This was a serene and pleasant atmosphere compared to the otherside. Less hustle and bustle of the crowd. More scenic and overall charm. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Peaceful, quiet and close to the beach

Had a wonderful, peaceful stay. Stephanie was a terrific host who communicated very well. The rental was clean with plenty of amenities and only a 7 minute walk to King’s Beach! Excellent place if you seek laid-back.

Wish we could have stayed longer !

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin in Kings Beach! The property was charming and we appreciated all the thoughtful details and amenities especially in the well-equipped kitchen. From the moment we walked in, we just felt relaxed and comfortable :) The goodie bags for BOTH of my dogs was such a nice and sweet touch. It was the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. Awesome property

The house was so adorable and it was spotless. I have stayed in some sketchy places at Tahoe but Stephanie and Duane have gone out of their way to make this little gem so comfortable and it met every need. It was quiet and comfortable. I also loved that they let my dog stay.

Awesome Place to Stay

This spot is such a great place to stay in North Tahoe. It is walkable to the beach, shops, restaurants, and activities. It’s quiet and safe. My favorite thing about it is how it’s decorated. I’m a big National Parks lover, and this place has tons of parks featured in its decor. It’s so cozy and really well designed and laid out. My husband and I stayed with our infant daughter and loved it. Additionally, Stephanie and Duane were amazing hosts. They were communicative, kind, helpful, and accessible. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I don’t know where to start. Our stay with Stephany and Duane felt more like we were crushing at our friends cabin. This is by far the most thoughtful rental i’ve ever been in to. I have stay at rentals that charged 5 for extra toilet paper before. When you text Stephany, she is very personable and very kind. She is very quick to answer, always offers help. We drove to Kings Beach from San Diego which took around 9 1/2 hours and walked into a snack bowl with a card welcoming us. The place was packed with items that were provided for us in case we forgot to pack something. Whole personal care items from toothbrush to cotton swabs, beach blankets, beach chairs, beverage flasks, cooler, face and body sunscreen, aleo cream for sunburns
 I heeded pliers to change my guitar string and yes, they had it in a tool box. But mostly, they share theeir kayaks with you and that is a magical experience. I highly suggest everyone to have that experience. Stephany and Duane cares about their guest!!!We traveled all around the Lake Tahoe and our favorite town was Kings Beach. It’s big enough that you have everything around you but small enough to slow you down. Its about 7 blocks downtown with many local shops around. Closest supermarket is around 7-8 min walk or 2 min drive. Camp Star-Lite is in great location under the alpine trees at Kings Beach. Its2 blocks to the downtown, 3 blocks to the lake ramp (for kayaks), around 4 blocks to the beach. All accessible less than a 5 min walk.

We have lived here in Kings Beach for over 15 years and on Brook Street since 2014. Originally Stephanie is from the Pacific NW and Duane is from Milwaukee, WI. We have two dogs and love living here at the lake. We enjoy kayaking, hiking and skiing when we aren't working.

We love the walkability of lower Kings Beach. The largest sandy beach on Tahoe's North shore is less than 5 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive. Restaurants, shops, bus line are all easily accessible. The neighborhood is also more urban than some others with locals and tourists mixing alike.
