Thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback regarding your recent stay at "Puppy Love." We are thrilled to hear that your family and pet enjoyed the home and amenities that are available to you. We appreciate all of our guests and strive to provide a consistent experience year round. Unfortunately, midges and other insects are a huge part of our barrier island environment. As you had experienced, these seasonal midges come and go depending on the direction of the wind and especially after a prolonged wet period. A power wash service can temporarily assist with the problem, but after several days and environmental factors, the midges return. We are terribly sorry to hear that the inside cleanliness fell short of meeting your expectations. As a company we do not charge a cleaning fee to you as the guest. You are charged a processing fee which includes an accidental damage insurance policy of $1,500 and other associated fees with your reservation. We reviewed the service calls and communication that took place during your stay, and were not notified of any of the items listed in your review. We were notified of a dryer issue that was resolved within 24 hours of your call, and would have loved to have the opportunity to rectify your other concerns in hopes of making the vacation more enjoyable for your family. We apologize that the check-in time was overlooked. We carefully reviewed your signed lease agreement, which indicates check-in time is between 4PM and 6PM on page 3 and page 4. This information was also included in your prior to arrival email. We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back to the Outer Banks again in the future!

Thank you for your feedback. We do ask that if you find any issues at all when you arrive that are not to your liking, that you alert us so that we can resolves those issues. We will also ensure there is sufficient plastic ware in the home, sometimes those rascals have a way of walking off. Hope to see you again in 2017!

People come to the Outer Banks from all around to enjoy various activities; some enjoy the peace and solitude of the northern beaches, while others prefer traveling further south to the Kitty Hawk/Nags Head area for more activities and shopping.
