Communication was great prior to our arrival and the house was clean and well stocked. The one issue we had was that many of the sleeping arrangements were double beds which left us short two places to sleep for unrelated guests but other than that it was an enjoyable stay. It snowed that weekend and that driveway was plowed and shoveled as well.

The location was perfect…close to town, kayaking, and hikes. The home was very comfortable and very well appointed….it had everything we needed. Plenty of room to spread out. The yard was great…our pup had so much space to play ball. The fire pit was an added bonus…making s’mores was a great way to end our week.

Everything was perfect for our weekend getaway with our family. This beautiful home was everything that we expected and more and we are a tough group to satisfy! Property was wonderful. The only exception was that the heat/ac was virtually impossible to work. It would be beneficial if detailed yet simple instructions were provided just as they were for the lights, internet etc.. All in all, a great place to stay.

Dear Richard, I am sorry that I did not think to offer my assistance with the heating/cooling system. We have noticed that travelers from south, especially during the side seasons, fall into the battle between cooling-heating. Camp David has radiant heat and a woodstove for heat and a central AC upstairs and over the living room. We added an extra AC split unit to the downstairs bedrooms and kitchen. The remotes and thermostats on the walls are labeled. To lessen the confusion during the summer season we turn the radiant heat thermostat off and during the winter season we remove the AC remotes.

Fall getaway

Went for a fall getaway long weekend with my family (6 adults and 3 children).The house lived up to our expectations and provided us with everything we needed.The weather was perfect and we got to take advantage of the fire pit. Would definitely return to Camp David.

Absolutely Gorgeous Cabin

Family stayed at Camp David for four days and loved it. The cabin is beautiful, downtown is close and our 2 year old loved the little beach in town. Would recommend for families looking for a peaceful gateway. The owner was quick to respond with any questions.

We had such a great time at Camp David! Maria is a great communicator and a lovely person. The house is beautiful and in a great location. Fully stocked kitchen with everything one could need. We really appreciated the little extra touches of soap, essential kit etc. can’t wait to come back!

We built this house in 2008 as we have been spending all of our summers and most weekends here in Bolton Landing, NY. As the boys are getting bigger we try to travel more and we spend part of the summer in Estonia, Europa where I am from we felt that renting out the house for some time would make sense. Now is your option to enjoy this immaculate Family Vacation Retreat Camp David - we love it here, we take good care of it!!!
