Waterfront Cottage with Hot Tub on Seneca Lake and Finger Lakes Wine Trail

Come relax at Red Oak Cottage, a cozy waterfront home located in the heart of Finger Lakes wine country! Nestled in the trees, this Seneca Lake escape features a spacious deck with stunning sunset lake views, 65ft of lake frontage with a fire pit, kayaks, and boat lift. Enjoy more than 20 vineyards and breweries within a 5 minute drive! Nearby attractions include Watkins Glen State Park, "The Glen" Race Track, and Finger Lakes National Forest.

A quaint 750sqft open concept cottage with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

Guests have access to the entire home, waterfront area, dock, and boat house. Please contact host for use of boat lift.

Preferred contact is through the airbnb/vrbo app. Phone numbers provided in house manual for urgent matters or emergencies.

Private road. Minutes from wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants. Boat launch 5 minutes down the road. State parks, hiking trails, tace track, and shopping within 15 minutes.

Gravel parking area available. Please contact us if more than 2 vehicles.

Please note: bedroom 3 does not have a closet or dresser, a clothing rack is provided. Bedroom 1 and 2 have walk-in closets. Hot tub available year round.

Please send inquiry for stays during the moths January, February, March. Off season bookings are weather and vehicle dependent.

This is a quintessential lake cottage, beautifully decorated and provides everything you could need. It was a lovely stay. Our host was very responsive and checked on us. We enjoyed fishing, Watkins Glen State Park and downtown restaurants. We can’t wait to come back!

Location couldn’t have been better, very centrally located. Really enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and kayaks. Jaci was incredibly responsive with all questions.

Quick getaway

Property was great. Beds were very comfortable. Location was amazing...close to alot of fun things/good food. View of the lake from all levels was great but the dock was the best. Any questions were answered very quickly.

Perfect solo retreat

What a lovely, welcoming property for a solo retreat. I enjoyed the dock and beach area when the weather allowed and when it didn't, I luxuriated on the cozy couch with my books and drink. The house has been tastefully remodeled and every detail serves form and function. The large deck was the perfect spot for outdoor yoga, grilling, and sitting out by a nice warm fire. The hot tub was a great bonus, well-maintained and clean. I loved everything about this house and property and hope to be back next year!

Mini Vacation

We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful sunsets! House was cozy and comfortable, it had everything we needed, like being at home. Hiked and explored the waterfalls in the area, great location on the lake. My son loved fishing off the dock. One of the fish was 2ft long! We all enjoyed the hot tub after a long day, very relaxing. Great communication with the owner, would definitely stay there again!

Amazing stay!

We had the best time on our honeymoon here. Property is exactly as listed, decorated & designed so thoughtfully. Every amenity needed is there & additional fun add ons - like kayaks, hot tub, fire pits, chaise lounges, hammock, etc. The property has a stunning drive down between the beautiful Atwater vineyards. Great distance to a ton of wineries and breweries on the east side of Seneca lake. Beautiful views of the lake & dock to enjoy the water. We were overly pleased with this place & would highly recommend!

Great lakeside home base for Finger Lakes fun

Our family of four from NYC had a fantastic week's stay at this property. Kids loved the hammock, playing in the shallows of the lake, the kayaks, the fire pits, the selection of games, and having their own rooms for a change. Grownups loved the location, the quiet, the cute aesthetic, having coffee in the sunroom, the kayaks (and variety of life jackets, including for small and medium kids), and the comfortable beds. Kitchen had what was needed to cook and eat meals when we didn't want to eat out. Kitchen also has window unit a/c, which kept the whole main room area cool. Towels, bedding, and furniture seemed new. We made a fire in the fire pit down by the dock, watched the sun set from the dock chairs most evenings, hit up the winery just up the hill, ate breakfast twice at Toni's Diner just down the street (definitely recommend!), washed and dried clothes (bring your own laundry soap, and a flashlight if you're doing it at night), and really enjoyed being right on the lake. It's a quick drive into Watkins Glen, and 35ish minutes to Ithaca and a bunch of surrounding waterfalls, trails, and swimming holes. We drove a little farther to Corning and toured the Museum of Glass one day—really interesting!
