Cozy Riverfront w/Balcony-Fish/Hunt/Golf

Welcome to the Huron River retreat! We have 100’ on the Huron River! NEW balcony!We have a fire pit, 4 kayaks, a canoe & a dock! The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath w/2 queen beds & a comfy futon. The location is PERFECT! You are right off the freeway & within walking distance to many conveniences! Detroit is about 20 minutes away & Monroe is about 15 minutes away. You’re about a 1/2 hr. from Toledo & less than 5 miles from Beaumont Hospital! CLOSE TO METRO PARK, STATE LAND, HUNTING/FISHING!!
The space
We've just added a beautiful 10' x 14' gazebo with two picnic tables down by the river for our guests to enjoy!

Currently, the balcony could be used as an extra bedroom!

WE NOW HAVE AT&T streaming cable!!! Just go to the Roku app home screen and find the Direct TV app!! Watch all of your favorite shows!!!

We just love how convenient the apartment is! It’s the best of both worlds! The backyard has a very “up North” feel. There is all kinds of wildlife including geese, ducks, groundhogs, and many deer that come into the yard! Right across the river is state land-it’s great to go across the river and explore the woods! We just completed the balcony directly out your back door! It’s perfect for having drinks and viewing the river!

Our parking lot can accommodate most boats. Please just let us know. It’s only 10 miles from Fermi!!

You are right by Pointe Mouillee State Game Area and Lake Erie Metropark! Bring your bikes for some wonderful trails! GREAT FISHING!! However, you are two doors away from a convenience store, three doors away from The River Village restaurant-GREAT food at very good prices, especially their early bird breakfast, and about a half mile away from the local Huron River Inn, a charming little local bar with very reasonable food prices!

You are welcome to use our kayaks, we have 4 adults and a canoe, however, you must take full responsibility for them and put them back the way that you found them.
The paddle boat is not available. The current is usually too strong for it.

Please be aware that you are on a relatively busy street, and although the yard feels as though you’re up north, the road traffic can get noisy. If you’re a very light sleeper, you may wish to consider the white noise machines that we’ve just added to the bedrooms. They have multiple settings, rain, waves, nature or just the sound of a fan. Enjoy!

We’re told that the building is the original general store. It is a very large old building and it was renovated into four apartments. Consequently, it’s not a typical apartment building and there are no shared walls. There is a hallway separating all the units. However, please still be conscious that others are in the building. Please note that this apartment is on the second story and the flight up is high and steep.

FYI, We are still working on landscaping.

We humbly request that as a guest, you make your needs/wants known and allow us to make everything as comfortable and convenient as possible. Please be aware that ratings are not the same as hotel ratings. 4's are considered unacceptable.
Please allow us the opportunity to rectify any issue. We pride ourselves on our customer service. Of course, if we don't respond or care for your needs, we would certainly expect to be marked down.
Additionally, please do not mark us down for things that we state in the ad, such as the fact that we are on a busy street or that the stairs are high. We state that in the ad, and we have added very nice white noise machines in the bedrooms.
Most importantly, please enjoy the beautiful river and our guest spaces as much as we hope you will!!

You are free to use the kayaks, but please put them back and be VERY CAREFUL. We ask that only ADULTS go into the basement! It’s a storage and work area and has many tools and such and it’s not necessarily safe for children. Please do not use the laundry facilities between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm when housekeeping will need to have access to it. Also, please provide your own laundry soap; it will be too difficult to keep
Track of and we need to make sure we have it for check outs.
Other things to note
Please know that the steps going up are high and steep! There are 12’ ceilings and it’s on the second floor.

Please note that code requires that all smoke detectors to be hard-wired and all apartments are inter-connected, i.e., if one sets off, they all do.

Bring bug spray!

The bedding for the futon is in the storage ottoman.

It’s currently not recommended to eat some of the fish from the river. Please look up any current concerns. We’re also just a few miles from Lake Erie!

The apartments are complete, but please be aware that we are still working on some things so you might see materials in the basement or back hallways.

NOTE: Stays over two weeks: In order to maintain the property and for your convenience, we provide our housekeeping service. We pay for one bi-monthly cleaning. However, we highly recommend weekly cleanings and offer it at our cost. Please inquire!

FUTON: Pull away from the wall and it needs two people to deploy. Lift up on the bottom as you lay the back down. Bedding is in the footstool.
