This beautiful mid-century home is the perfect place to relax and recharge in style. Break away from boring and immerse yourself in our unique and thoughtfully curated home. The home is decorated with up-cycled furniture and other sustainable materials. Also it offers a number of eco-friendly features, including drought-tolerant landscaping, on-site recycling, conscientious cleaning products, and energy-efficient appliances. Just 1.2 miles from OU campus!

Pets
Our pet-friendly policy applies exclusively to dogs.
We invite up to two (2) potty trained dogs to accompany you. Please let us know that your furry friends will be joining you!
We ask that you kindly clean up after your dogs in the yard. Complimentary dog waste bags are provided for easy clean up.
We also ask that dogs are kept off of the furniture to guard against accidental scratching. Please be aware, any damages caused by pets are 100% the responsibility of the guests.

Security cameras are ON at all times.

What a fun place to stay! The furnishings took me back to my childhood, yet lots of updates as well. Central location in Norman. Beautiful windows to enjoy, would stay here again!

Had no direct contact-all communication thru app which I could not access , had to contact vrbo have them to send me entry code, kitchen was good layout, kitchen supplies wasn’t comfortable using until washed, 2dining areas was good for our family celebration, cleanliness & updating could be improved

Quiet neighborhood and lovely home

We loved our stay here! The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near the university, but close to so many things. There is lots of room to spread out in the house and it’s well stocked with all the supplies you would need.

Great Spot

Stayed a weekend for a football game. Great location. It’s walkable if needed (about 30 mins from the stadium), but only a quick Uber. Clean, quiet, plenty of space.

Easter Weekend in Norman

My husband, daughter, and two little fur babies stayed at Maggie's Place II when we visited our son/brother, who is in college at OU, for Easter weekend. It was nice to have space we could all enjoy. The information received from the property manager was comprehensive and much appreciated.

Unique Place in Norman

Our stay was great. Plenty of room for the whole family. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen ever in a rental. It was a little Oasis in the city. Close to everything but felt like another world. The house has many many glass walls and trees outside so you almost feel like you're outside in the woods Everything was clean and the decor was retro and fun. Great place to stay.

Home away from home!

Maggie’s place is such an accommodating stay - so cozy and well stocked. The house and neighborhood are just lovely, I walked my baby and dogs around every evening. Love that they accept dogs too, we were able to bring the whole gang, which is always such a relief! We loved the outdoor patio, the comfy couches, the homey bedrooms and jacuzzi bath tub. Ample parking, safe neighborhood, close to everything, the perfect experience of Norman, OK. Super clean and communicative, helpful host.

Maggie’s Funky GET A WAY

This architect had fun with this funky 1970’s (I’m guessing) home. It was a delightful place. The long large windows give a feel of the outdoors (in your face) which was a good thing. Comfortable in every way. My little dogs kept running into the glass walls thinking it was the way to outside back yard. Just confused them but they got the hang of it. All was well. Just funny. So many unique homey items to look at. The pictures you see on line are just what it is. LOVELY. The neighborhood is welcoming with morning and evening dog walkers a plenty. A safe environment for sure. Go stay at MAGGIES PLACE. We loved it!!!

Good Location but Cleanliness Issues

The house itself is in a great location but needs a little TLC. Beyond the age of the house there some issues that dropped the ratting down a few stars. Bed 1 - Had what appeared to be blood stains on the comforter. Bed 2 - Had what appeared to be blood stains on the comforter, and pillow (gross). Bed 3 - Had sand in the bed and had to be wiped clean before sleeping. It was so off putting that my mother in law had to sleep on the couch. When I told the owner about the issue she was very apologetic but that didn't make up for the issues.

Too expensive for what you get

(Sent to VRBO. No response so posting.) VRBO's little circle of where the property is located is fraudulent. This property is at the western-most edge of the circle. (Read: worst edge.) Proximity to campus drives value. If the circle were more justly located, the property wouldn't be as desirable. (KNOW: west of Imhoff Creek isn't nearly as nice as east. All but eliminates walkability.) Price gouging was in full effect during OU's graduation week. We paid OVER DOUBLE what is normally asked for what I'd consider to be worth about 30% of our bill. The place was overgrown with weeds. It's furnished with the cheapest possible WalMart utensils and pillows. You get a very used hodgepodge of bedding and towels. Came to find out the "Sustainable" in the listing means it's decorated with thrift store finds. The idea that you're getting some person's second home ("Maggie's Place II") is false; this is a business. They have several homes apparently. "Maggie" was great on communication; absolutely. But the fact the place was in such sad condition when we arrived and we had to ask for the deck and yard to be cleared, ask for pillows, ask where the master bath's window treatments were and several other things makes me think these people certainly haven't stayed in their own place. I had to fix the second bath's sink as it was loose and ridiculous (for the money). Removed a fiddleback spider. Removed cobwebs from doorways. Had to deep clean the outdoor furniture before usable. Etc.

I love that the neighborhood is an eclectic mix of style and architecture with no two houses being the same. The mature trees and large lots make it feel like a quiet getaway rather than in the center of Norman.

The Midcentury style inside and out is what drew me to the home. It has been updated for convenience, but still has so much of the original charm. I'm working to furnish with more Midcentury pieces as I find them.
