Spacieux 4 chambres 2 salles de bain complètes Lake House sur le lac Supérieur pour un maximum de 8 personnes

The Lake House est une maison privée située directement sur le lac Supérieur. Le salon spacieux contient de grandes fenêtres donnant sur le lac et l'île Au Train. Les portes coulissantes en verre s'ouvrent sur une terrasse où vous pouvez vous asseoir et regarder le lever du soleil. Un petit escalier en bois vous mènera à votre propre plage de rochers!

Deux salles de bain complètes, une grande cuisine et salle à manger, et quatre chambres font de la maison du lac une excellente location pour un maximum de 8 personnes.

Nous sommes situés dans une petite baie sur le lac Supérieur, à l'abri des vents violents du lac.
Shelter Bay offre vraiment un abri à tous ceux qui viennent ici. Nous avons 2 kayaks et 2 canoës disponibles juste devant le Lake House pour faire du kayak dans la baie où vous pouvez voir une famille d'aigles qui nichent à proximité. Il est également idéal pour la collecte de roches! La pleine lune se lève directement par la fenêtre avant de la maison du lac. Directement en face de l'autoroute, vous pouvez nager, cuisiner ou regarder le coucher du soleil à Deer Lake. Nous sommes à une courte distance en voiture des plages de sable. Nous avons également une entreprise de pêche charter sur place si vous êtes intéressé à attraper de la truite de lac pour cuisiner sur le gril à gaz du pavillon communautaire ou sur votre gril à charbon privé. Il s'agit d'une propriété terre-à-terre; nous avons de nombreux bateaux sur place et un certain nombre d'autres invités. Les amis de la station se réunissent souvent au feu de camp et partagent une bière et quelques rires sous un ciel au clair de lune. Si vous voulez vivre une expérience Yooper authentique, cet endroit est fait pour vous.

Amazing views of the lake!

We were in awe of the view out the back door! It was clean, plenty of hot water and the beds were comfy.

Family vacation

Our 1st VRBO and it was amazing! The house was clean, roomy, and inviting. The process was easy and the location was fantastic. If you want a beautiful Lake Superior experience this is the place!The sunrise was breathtaking!Most of our activities were in Munising which was only 20 minutes away.We would go back in a heartbeat!

Great location right on the lake!

Enjoyed our stay at the simple lake house with beautiful views of the lake and our own steps down to the rocky beach. Great location for us as we hiked in both Munising (PIctured Rocks) and Marquette (Sugar Loaf Mountain). Not fancy, and some old worn furniture, but comfortable, quiet and hard to beat the views.

We have 3 couches that were purchased brand new and put in the lake house last year. We have a new table and accent chairs on order from Wayfair. The dishes, pots and pans, and silverware are all new this summer.

Gorgeous location. Lake Superior at your back door and a very serene lake across the highway for kayaking and swimming. Owner is very responsive and accommodating.

Great location, right on Lake Michigan

We had a great time staying here. The location was perfect, about 20-30 minutes from either Marquette or the Munising / Painted Rocks area. The house is right on Lake Superior and the kids loved swimming every day. For a warmer swim, which the adults appreciated, Deer Lake is an easy walk just about 200 yards away and has a wonderful sand beach.

Short Trip in September

Stayed 2 nights. Check in was easy, communication with Sarah prompt with all questions, beautiful view and comfortable stay- super clean accommadations- Our primary reason for visiting was business we had in Marquette. Good location.

Fun filled 4th of July vacation

The home is very spacious and clean. Did some rock hunting out front. The kids swam at Deer Lake which is directly across the street. All had fun!

Lake House

Great location with many options for hiking, sightseeing and boating all being only a short distance away. The house was spacious enough for six adults, nothing too fancy but had everything we needed and was very clean. It's a great spot on Lake Superior and also has a very nice sandy beach across the street. The host, Sara was also very nice and helpful.

Lake House

The lake house is perfectly situated for a UP adventure with views of Lake Superior. We loved drinking coffee watching the sunrise across the lake. The home was very clean and well stocked. The large home was perfect for our adult family with large living spaces.

Very Good Place

We enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of space. Four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Plus a very large kitchen. There was a huge living area. Very comfortable. Extremely clean. Nice and attentive owner.

Peaceful view, great location.

We are 4 rock hounders looking for yooperlites. We could not have received better help, finding rock hunting locations, than we received from our property manager Sarah. What a sweetheart! And the accommodations were great. Clean, quiet, peaceful, and a great view!

Great home base!

Centrally located for all of our activities. Fantastic sunrises out the living room window. Very clean, plenty of room inside the rental. We would definitely rent this property again. This is part of a charter boat rental “resort” with lots of other smaller cottages which we weren’t expecting upon first arriving, but we loved the location and felt very comfortable here.

Beautiful lake front retreat

I’m very glad I booked this lake house. I was planning a UP trip that had some flexibility and I wanted a lake front place and this did not disappoint. The sounds of the waves hitting the shore was second the actual view from the moment you step in! House was clean and spacious. Located conveniently between Munising and Marquette for day trips and the host provides information on places to see and visit!

Great place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. Counldnt have asked for more. Incredible location, incredible view of lake Superior and magnificent sunrise. Sarah was very helpful and very responsive. Thank you for that. My kids 17 and 20 also had a great time. Best perk is that canoes and kayaks are available that we can use anytime.

Kimar's Resort was built by Al Kimar in 1945. Originally the property contained 6 small cottages. We still have 3 original cottages and 4 other rental units including the Lake House that are newer or upgraded. Our resort is currently run by Al's son Dave Kimar, his wife Chris, their 4 daughters, and 4 grandsons. We have kept the family business for over 70 years and will continue to do so as long as God is willing!

We are located in a small bay on Lake Superior, sheltered from the lake's harsh winds.
Shelter Bay truly offers shelter to all who come here. We have 2 kayaks and 2 canoes available right outside the Lake House for kayaking in the bay where you can see a family of eagles that nest nearby. It is also great for rock collecting! The full moon rises right out the front window of the Lake House. Directly across the highway, you can swim, cookout, or watch the sunset at Deer Lake. We are a short drive from sandy beaches. We also have a charter fishing business on site if you are interested in catching some Lake trout to cook on the gas grill in the community pavilion or on your private charcoal grill. This is a down-to-earth property; we have many boats on site and a number of other guests. Friends from the resort often times gather at the campfire and share a beer and some laughs under a moonlit sky. If you want an authentic Yooper experience this place is for you.
