Step inside a one-of-a-kind timber-frame home where country charm, spacious gathering areas, and modern comforts come together to create the perfect place for making memories.

Originally designed to capture the beauty and craftsmanship of a classic barn, this unique home features soaring 35-foot ceilings, authentic mortise-and-tenon beams held together with wooden pegs, and beautiful yellow pine throughout. Enjoy peaceful country living while relaxing in a warm and inviting space designed for connection.

The open-concept great room is the heart of the home, offering comfortable seating for visiting, playing games, or simply enjoying time together. The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals easy, while the large dining area invites everyone to gather around one table.

When it’s time for more fun, the spacious lower-level garage/game room provides a dedicated entertainment area featuring ping pong and other games for guests of all ages to enjoy.

Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms provide comfortable accommodations for groups, and our continuous tankless hot water system ensures everyone can enjoy hot showers—even during busy mornings.

Sleeping arrangements are designed with flexibility in mind: the home includes 4 bedrooms with 4 beds (1 king, 2 queens, and 1 double) and comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. The man cave includes an IKEA sofa bed and a pullout couch, while the office is kept open and available for air mattresses. For additional flexibility, a queen air mattress and four twin air mattresses are provided, along with extra bedding and pillows. White noise machines are available in each bedroom, the office, and the man cave to help ensure a restful night’s sleep for all guests.

Outside, take in the peaceful country surroundings, enjoy your morning coffee, gather around the fire under the stars, and experience the simple beauty of country living.

Do not proceed down the driveway into the woods beyond the house. That is private property and there are security cameras that monitor it.
No pets of any kind. Undisclosed pets will result in a $500 fine in addition to an extra $150 cleaning fee and will result in immediate eviction.

Benita the host was very accommodating and helpful for our stay. We had 12 guest for a wedding event and the place was awesome for use. The porch was used to connect and talk, the beautiful table for 12 was a center piece to gather. Everything was just right for the group. We recommend this site for your group needs.

We had a wonderful stay, the house is amazing and is worth the experience just to see the care that went into building such a masterpiece. The house has everything you need to have a relaxing stay and enjoy tranquility.

One bedroom door kept sliding shut. I used a washcloth the hold it in place. Some outlets were fussy--positional to get it to charge phones. Comfortable, clean place. So many tools, etc. in the kitchen. Showers were nice. Quiet location. Pillows were a bit too puffy for me--side sleepers need flatter pillows.

Everything stood out! The home was so amazing ... perfect for celebrating the holidays with family. The host, Benita, is incredible. Perfect Weekend Getaway with Friends

We were a group of 5 couples traveling to Grand Rapids for a surprise party for a friend. The barn was the perfect size for our group and so nicely done! The main area was perfect for socializing and for keeping distance from each other before the coffee kicked in :) Benita was a pleasure to work with!

Beautiful Home

This home was more beautiful in person than online. We did a lot of cooking while there and they had everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. We would definitely love the opportunity to stay there again. That’s how AWESOME it was. Thank you Benita for being such a gracious host!!!

Beautiful place

This property was spacious and absolutely beautiful. It turned out to be a great gathering spot as we all came together for our youngest son's wedding. We enjoyed games on the porch the evening before the wedding with a casual dinner. The boys were able to hang out while the girls decorated the wedding venue and we were able to gather around the table for late night snacks after the wedding reception. Truly a memorable stay!

Absolutely beautiful

Our son's wedding was in Grand Rapids with the reception at Sunny Brook Country Club. This beautiful slice of heaven was perfect for our family and our son's friends to stay for the weekend. We were able to rent their barn for the rehearsal dinner and it was absolutely perfect. This property was beautiful in every way and Bonita was absolutely wonderful to work with! If there were more stars to rate her and the property I would!

We are an Army family who, through a series of events, built our "future forever home".

In 2015, while stationed in South Carolina, we began to fulfil a dream to build a timber frame home. In the hot Carolina evenings and on Saturdays our family milled yellow pine boards and beams. Over time we hauled them to Michigan, and in the summer of 2017, we began construction of our barn home. Conveniently our next duty station was on the east side of Michigan, so we continued with construction, and in the December 2018, we moved into our home!

Someday, we hope to call this place home full-time, but until then, we are thrilled to share “life in a barn” with our guests and give others the opportunity to experience this special place.
