3rd time in 5 years in this unit. nicely painted and spruced up. Just keeps getting better every time. Lucked out on the weather to. The building's new paint looks good to.Wonderful place to unwind.

The condo was decorated fun for a family stay with young children. We really did enjoy our stay as this condo is literally steps from the ocean. However, the furniture and beds were not very comfortable, which my husband and I could feel the effects from by the end of our stay.

Thank you for trusting Brooks and Shorey Resorts to get you in the perfect condo home for your beach vacation with the kiddos, honestly you cannot go wrong with our amazing little Okaloosa Island! Gulf Dunes Condominiums is in the best location being towards the being of the island you're within comfortable walking distance of the restaurants and shops at the start of the island meaning less driving for you! Not only is this great about the Gulf Dunes location, but also the property is literally directly on the beach just like you mentioned only steps to the gorgeous white silky sand on the beaches where your complimentary seasonal beach chairs and umbrella setup await!! Bring your cooler and beach towels and all the sunscreen you can fit in your bags and you're set for the day. Thank you for the comments on the furnishings in this unit, we'll have our manager inspect everything and then make the appropriate steps at that point, we appreciate the feedback on these details. We hope to have you back soon for more fun in the sun!

This unit has stained furniture, a smell to it, dirty paint and had no kitchen towels. We will not be renting this condo again.

One concern we did have was the black markings that were on the ceiling mainly in the kitchen area. We weren't sure what it was, mold, grease or something else. The sliding glass door didn't have a handle on the outside. Really wasn't a big deal for us but a family with kids might have issues. Overall, it was a clean comfortable condo we would stay in again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After a delay in arriving to Fort Walton due to road work throughout the 12 hr trip I received a call that our room was ready early. We were very happy about this and were extremely satisfied with our room. This is the 3rd time in the last 3 years coming to the area each time staying at a different location. We have booked using the resort building owner, a hotel, and also used vrbo. I can honestly say booking a hotel has been our least favorite. There are both advantages and disadvantages to all but it is nice to know that you can find a wonderful place to stay through vrbo. It is a great option that we will use again. I would like to thank the owners of the condo and Brooks and Shorey for an awesome stay.

GREAT location- But could use some updates

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our building/room was in a great location! Right on the beach with beautiful views. It’s a quaint one bedroom with bunks in the hall for the kids. Overall, it met our needs perfectly for the week. However, I do feel it needs some attention. The kitchen/appliances are outdated. Cracks in the walls, popcorn ceiling was peeling in places, the bathroom tub/shower appears to be the original since that building was built and it shows. It would also be helpful if some standards are included- such as dish soap, coffee filters, trash bags, etc. I know it was suggested we bring our own but for the cost of a week’s stay during a peak season, these are amenities that many other places include without expecting renters to provide.

We are glad you enjoyed the great location! While we do provide a starter supply of these items, with the exclusion of coffee filters, we do strongly suggest bringing more to be comfortable.
