PERFECT PLACE

We were so very plaesed with our stay in this condo. The view was perfect, it's on the 5th floor, so you're high up enough for a great view of the gulf, but low enough to still people watch! It's located right over the resort's two pools which would have been perfect for us to keep an eye out on our two teenage kids had they been with us. The room was clean and everything was so nicely decorated. The bed in the master room was a little uncomfortable, but tolerable. We loved this unit so much that we are planning on booking a week long stay there next summer!

Great location and easy to get to. We would definitely stay here again. Two suggestions: there are no umbrellas at the pool. So no shade! A handrail in the shower would be nice. Overall great place!

Waters Edge 507 is a GEM and we love being able to share this one bedroom with our visitors. We're so glad you didn't run into issues while you were here, we truly want every one of our guest to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Mattress comfort is extremely difficult to get just perfect for every single guests as it's such a personal preference. But we'll make sure it's up to standards and functionality is still good. The mattresses and couch were very thin and not comfortable at all. You could tell the couch was old. The sheets and blankets were like what they provide in a hospital. Not acceptable for something you’re paying for on vacation.

We loved the view of the ocean! Pools were great for the kids and not over crowded. Kids loved the TVs in each of the bunk beds. Also having a code for the door was great, not worrying about a key. Beach service was a hit! We would vacation to this exact unit again!

The bunk bed TV's are custom and the condo owner has to opt to install these, thank you for pointing these out they are a true extra amenity you get when you rent this condo. There's nothing better than being able to get the kids their own TV's and beds so they can enjoy what they want while you enjoy what you want in the Gulf front living room (or balcony even) Enjoying morning coffee or afternoon drinks has never been so amazing!! Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time here. The layout of this condo was perfect for my family! The only issue was that we decided prior to our arrival someone must have had possibly an animal of sorts inside. There was NO odor or anything like that. Just Mine and my son's allergies went bizerk the first night and that following day. They cleared up after that and all was well. The place was clean, very nice!

Beautiful, quiet retreat!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here the last two weeks of February. The unit was comfortable, clean and quiet. The view of the gulf was incredible! We did not use the bunk beds or pull out couch, but enjoyed each having our own full bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything needed. It would be nice to have a few hooks on the wall throughout the whole place, but overall we were very comfortable. The pools were very clean, plenty of lounge chairs. Easy access to the beach with nice showers to wash sand off. B & S were very attentive to our needs and pleasant to work with. Great place to stay!

We will not be going back to this VRBO. The only time we heard from the host with an immediate response was when they were trying to get us to stay an extra night or checking in early. When we got there and messaged them that there weren't extra sheets left for the pull out bed, it was quite. We were given a number but it said to only reach out for TRUE EMERGENCIES (yes in all caps!). In this case, where our kids would be needing a place to sleep, we gave a good amount of time for them to respond to our text. When they didn't respond after so long, we decided to call the number as that would be an emergency for our kids to not have a place to sleep! The cleaner came within an hour to drop of linens for the pull out bed. The view: breathtaking! We loved being close to the beach and also seeing the bay in the distant on the other side.Cleanliness was horrible. We walked in and my 6 year old asked when there was sand all over the floor. Crumbs in the fridge, stains on blankets and bed skirts, gunk on bottom of dishwasher, mold in toilets, mold/hair in master shower, very dusty pretty much everywhere, ladder to top bunk had black footprints on it, tub was dirty, electrical issues, dishes dirty, no hand soap... I could go on.Cleaning crew stood outside our door at 9am.....:/ making us feel extremely rushed. Overall not impressed.

Pretty Good condo, except for bed!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have been going to Ft. Walton for about 20 years and almost always use Brooks and Shorey. We love the Waters Edge for the covered parking and large pool. We stayed in unit 507 which was pretty good. The couch and chairs were comfortable,kitchen pretty well stocked and of course the view was priceless. Only complaint is the bed was horrendous! Two people could not sleep in there because you both end up in the "gully" in the middle of the bed! The owners definitely need to invest in a good mattress to keep clients comfortable and repeat cutomers! Hubby took the bed and I slept on couch which was fine for a few nights but neither would want to do it for a week!I would suggest if you are going to be eating meals in, you should bring food from your home area as both Publix and Winn Dixie are very expensive. We brought extra paper towels and toilet paper but didn't need either as each bathroom had a roll with an extra and about half a roll of paper towels. Always good to have a washer and dryer in the unit as well. Overall, nice stay.
