El Yunque stay

We had a great stay here. Close to El Yunque and the beach. Property had all we needed and even some beach chairs, sun umbrella and cooler to use.

What could I possibly say was wrong with this house when I completely fell in love with it? Absolutely nothing! The location is perfect—it’s close to everything you could want to do. El Yunque is just minutes away, the beach is nearby, and there are plenty of great restaurants and places to eat. We absolutely loved our stay. A special thank you to Mr. Julio and his wife for their outstanding hospitality and kindness. They made us feel truly welcome throughout our visit. We sincerely hope to rent this beautiful home again in the future. Thank you both so much for everything! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful stay.

Julio was very welcoming and attentive prior to our arrival. Some of the appliances were outdated, but easy enough to figure out.The biggest selling point was that El Yunque National Forest is less than 20 minutes away. With so many hikes and swimming areas to find, it makes day trips a lot easier to plan around the weather.

They try to make an effort to make it nice. It’s fair. Dark musky out dated basement-like apartment. Doors are not sealed bugs all around. The hosts upstairs yell and argue every day. Not worth the price.

I am sorry that you didn’t have good things to say about my rental and I feel sorry for the way you felt while you were here. I was very concerned about your fragile health and specially the fact that you were inside the apartment all the time alone and I really got very worried when I returned from walking my dog and found your apartment keys attached to the front door lock and you not answering the phone or my knocking on the door. You really scared me that day until you finally opened the door. David K I wish you well and I understand that it is very hard and perhaps impossible to please everyone. Respectfully yours. Julio.

Amazing location an great host

This location can't be beat. It is secluded enough, yet a quick drive to the beach, a quick drive to the rainforest and a quick drive to all of the restaurants and shops you might need. Julio lives upstairs and was quick to bring us flashlights when the power went out and was an overall excellent host. My favorite part was sitting outside and listening to the sounds of the birds and the coqui frogs at night. The apartment itself was fine. The only thing I would mention is that if you are squeemish with bugs, we had crickets, spiders, roaches, and little flies living with us. It is close to the rainforest, so not really surprising, but worth a mention.

3 day stop over in Loquillo

Property is very clean and safe. Gated with a remote. Lots of outdoor seating and a table in the front yard. You are in an older part of town with some neglected homes but Don Julio's is perfect. Sitting in the front yard there are large banana trees so you really don't see any of the other homes and it is very private. We needed a late check out and it was no issue at all and Don Julio insisted we take our time and enjoy ourselves. He told us of a great hiking trail to do although we ran out of time to see it. There was nothing we needed during our stay, lots of towels, dishes, beach chairs a cooler etc. great place to stay and a short drive to town. Oh, and he has a great charcoal BBQ/smoker!

I was expecting a property in nature. This is actually in a neighborhood that has houses close together with many barking dogs and roosters. The grass was not cut, the grill was in tall grass and there was space to sit and relax.The interior was dark and ceilings low. It was clean, however. From the pictures on the website, it looked as if it was very near to the rainforest. It was not. I Think this is pretty typical in the area for people to misrepresent their properties. Hotel stays from now on for me while in Puerto Rico.

En primer lugar la comunidad es fea, Segundo el apt sirve solo para dormir, esta limpia y organizada solo que al abrir la puerta el recibimiento fue una pequeña culebra, al dia siguiente los buenos días no los dio un pequeño rajiero( ratón). El grill y lo q se ve en la parte fuera es imposible de confiar para darle uso al igual q en la cocina del apt, el calentador del baño al utilizar la ducha o es sumamente caliente o sumamente fria no hay termino medio. En realidad no era nada de lo q esperabamos. De todas maneras gracias
