Absolutely stunning! Absolute gem in the Rossville Historical District. This home is on the Ohio Historical Registry as the oldest rental property in the county. Private parking in the rear. Steps to Main Street with a plethora of restaurant and bar options. This property is three blocks from Spookynook Sports Complex and a 20 minute drive to Miami University. Everything in the home has been redone and has very modern amenities. We have added portable AC units to the second floor bedrooms.

This home worked very well for our needs. It was very clean and modern. The kitchen was a nice size. The location was perfect as we were visiting family in Oxford and Liberty Township. We had 3 adults and 3 small children, so we brought our own blowup mattress to help with sleeping arrangements. Not a lot of parking if you have visitors, but for what we needed it worked great.

Quaint place very fairly priced. Location was good for walking to restaurants in area. We were there to visit son at Miami. About a 20 minute drive. Master bed was comfortable. Home was clean. Host was great with communication, and easy check in and check out process. The only minor detraction is the house is a little older and has a bit of a musty smell. We come down to spooky nook a few times each year, and may stay at this place versus the hotel. Would stay again for visit with son in Miami.

Great location!

Quant historical home in walking distance of a ton of shops, eateries and entertainment. Overall the house was great. My only negative would be the only bathroom and bedrooms are located upstairs, so those who have issues with steps be advised. Definitely recommend and will consider staying again if we ever need a place to stay in the area.

We are sorry both bedrooms and bath are on the second floor. We did not know you needed a first floor bedroom or bath. We stated in our description that bedrooms and bath are located on the second floor. If we would have known you needed a first floor bath we could have put you in our house next door. Thank you for staying with us.

Excellent property, especially if one likes colonial homes

Met the owner when we arrived...a lovely proprietor, the home was beautifully appointed with all new towels and the kitchen was amazing. We could only stay overnight but we discovered how quaint the city of Hamilton is !!! Thank you for a very pleasant stay. We would like to return when we have more time.

Short stay for Basketball

Brian was an awesome host. He was very easy to communicate with and helped me out when my daughter forgot something at the house post check out. It is definitely a place I will look up an again if I come out the Hamilton in the future.

Weekend getaway

The stay was great for the location and time we had in Hamilton. The only issue was the steep steps to the upstairs. With the only bathroom in the house being upstairs, that can cause a little problem with an elderly in ur party . But overall, our stay was great .

Nice Property

We were in town for Miami's graduation. House was a great location for us. We were able to walk to the Urban Backyard which was a wonderful place. House was clean, appliances, bathroom updated. Stairs were pretty steep, which made it hard for my mom to walk up and down, but it is an older house so to be expected. Overall it was a good stay.

Rude Host

Brian is an extremely rude host. I tried communicating with him and he doesn’t respond promptly. When I called him to ask for the code, he said that check in is not until 4, unless I want to stay in a dirty house. The posting says check in is at 3. So I called Vrbo to clarify, and they said the posting says check in at 3. The host called me frustrated, extra rude because I called Vrbo, he told me that I can cancel if I want because there’s many people that would love to rent it. He won’t even let me speak. He didn’t even apologize for giving a wrong check in time. Not to mention, the house smells like dirty damp carpet, not to mention a surprise guest, a mouse running around the house. I didn’t even bother to reach out to him after what I have experienced. Horrible host! The location is on a very busy street so you can hear all the cars driving by.

I am so sorry you thought we were rude. We really believe in customer service and we bend over backwards to help our guests with anything they need. I believe this review is due to the fact that Lorraine had a party and destroyed one of our mattresses. We had to replace the mattress and we billed her for it. The house was destroyed by the party and it took my cleaning crew an extra two hours to clean. We almost always grant an early checkin. This particular day we weren’t able to due to a late checkout by the previous guest. Lorraine got upset that we wouldn’t allow her to checkin while our cleaning crew was still there. As far as the damp carpet goes, we don’t have carpet in the entire house. We have hardwood floors in every room except the kitchen and bathroom. We don’t have mice (if we did my wife wouldn’t step foot in there) and the road is not busy (two lanes and the speed limit is 25). We are sorry you couldn’t check in early. We hope you have better stays in the future.
