Tucked away from the city noise yet super-conveniently located: 5-minute drive to Spooky Nook Sports Complex and Downtown Hamilton, 15-minute drive to Miami University and Oxford, 50-minute drive to Cincinnati, one hour drive to Dayton, Ohio.

Host was very easy to work with, made last minute adjustments to our stay when he didn’t need to. The house had everything we needed. Very pretty location and very quiet except for the occasional train.

This is our third or fourth visit to the Hamilton house over the last few years. It's a great location with a lot of convenient amenities. It's easy to cook here and enjoy the family time. We bring our dogs and our RedHawk loves the time together. The river was very low, but we still saw birds and deer.It's just been well loved by many families, and the wear is showing.The house could benefit from a deep clean from the light switches and doorknobs with handprints to some "buggy" outdoor lights and window sills. Fresh coats of paint in the bedrooms, new bedroom carpeting and it's time to replace the bed pillows, TV and living room soft furniture. Will we be back? I hope so!

Loved the individual thermostats in each room! It was so nice to be able to make coffee in the morning. Very quaint cottage. Would definitely stay here again.

Return trip to the cottage

Perfect for our needs

Had a wonderful stay at Four Mile Creek Cottage! We were in town for a graduation party and appreciated the easy drive to both Oxford and Hamilton. The cottage is well appointed, very comfortable and in a beautiful setting.

Lovely cottage on the creek

We love staying here! Everything is so clean, beds are comfortable, and we have everything we need. The yard is great for our pups and the peaceful creek is an added bonus! Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway for Cincinnati and Miami families.

This was our second time staying here and it was even better than the first time. We had our sons drive from school, made them home-cooked meals, enjoyed downtown Hamilton and reconnected. A perfect place for our family.

Great Place in the Country

We loved this place. It's perfect for the two of us. Kitchen had what we needed. Bed was comfortable. We appreciated being able to park in the garage. The lighted Christmas tree in living room was a nice touch to make it feel even more homey. The owner/manager was very good with communication.

Great weekend stay

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint house. Set back away from all the hustle and bustle, it was just what we needed for a weekend going into the holidays. The yard was beautiful with a creek just a few steps from the back patio. Although it was a cold weekend, drinking coffee there every morning was the perfect way to start the day. The house was clean and beyond welcoming. Perfect cabin feels. We’ve already talked about when we can schedule with Wyatt again. The check in process was easy to follow and convenient. The house had everything you’d need however we brought most of our own things. One of the best places we’ve stayed in a while. The location was about 10-15 minutes from the main parts of town but was an easy drive to get anywhere you needed.

Perfect home to reconnect

We rented this house for a weekend and had our Red Hawk and Bearcat meet us there. It was wonderful. Everything we needed and more. The kitchen let me make some home cooked meals. We all enjoyed the charm of Hamilton. And the college students slept in for a mid term refresh. The best part? We brought our pups! We will be back!

Guys Weekend Sept-2024

House size was reasonably good for a group of 6 adults. Seating in the living room space was kind of limited, but not a huge deal at all. House was clean and reasonably stocked with linens, laundry supplies, kitchen utensils, and bathroom essentials. Outdoor space was also nice with patio furniture and a fire pit w/ seating. Even though the weather has been very dry and the creek level was down, we were still able to find areas of good fishing.
