Grandaddy Moon sure knew this place was special when he bought it more than four decades ago. Though times and amenities are much different now, the beauty and uniqueness of this place are apparent more than ever. Here you’ll enjoy modern conveniences with nostalgic fish camp decor. Shiplap walls and soft colors create an inviting and tranquil space. “Full Moon Fish Camp” is located less than 4 miles from The Guntersville City Harbor in a small, quiet and safe lake front community. You’ll find the walls adorned with local art and furnishings that give nod to life on the lake. Launch your boat at the nearby ramp (2 mi) then tie up to the community pier to take a break from the sun. Prepare meals in the well appointed kitchen or go into town (by boat or car) to enjoy one of the many restaurants within 4 miles of here. Fire up the charcoal grill after a day of fishing or shopping if staying in is what you’re after. The relaxing front porch has plenty of seating and is the perfect place to sip your favorite beverage morning or night. Sounds of wildlife, rain on the metal roof or the occasional clang of a nearby sailboat halyard will surely set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Our little cove is a wildlife protection area so the natural beauty can’t be duplicated. Whether you spend a day shopping in quaint downtown Guntersville (4 mi), make the quick drive into Scottsboro to Unclaimed Baggage (24 mi) or head to Huntsville to the US Space & Rocket Center (37 mi), you’re sure to find just what you’re looking for. With parking for 4-5 vehicles/boats (2 covered spots), there’s plenty of room for everyone. Snuggle in on one of the two couches in the living room to watch a movie or pull for your favorite team on the 50” TV. You’ll find good sleep comes easy in any of the three sleeping quarters. “Full Moon Fish Camp” has been providing the absolute best memories for our famly for decades and we’re sure you’ll make some great ones here too. While it’s not quite the same fish camp that Grandaddy Moon had, we know he’d approve.
