We had a great 3-night stay at this property in Winchester Bay. The space itself is exceptionally clean, bright, and wonderfully quiet. Everything inside worked exactly as intended, and the location cannot be beat - it’s just a short walk to the marina, town, and the sand dunes. The hosts were incredibly nice, friendly, and responded almost instantly to any questions we had.A few minor things to note for future guests: the rental is the 2nd floor above the garage rather than a standalone house. The owners may use the garage and the parking area in front of the house during your stay, so there is slightly less privacy than you might expect from a fully detached rental. Additionally, the grill needed a cleaning before we could use it.Overall, if you don't mind sharing the driveway space and climbing the stairs, it’s a lovely, well-stocked apartment. We really appreciated the hospitality and the comfortable space!

My adult son and I stayed here for four nights in the beginning of October. It was a perfect time to visit the coast with idyllic weather. The entire house was rebuilt several years ago so everything is new. The house is simply furnished and not cluttered. The kitchen is very well equipped and functioned well. There are two bar stools for the counter, 2 additional bar stools and a small dining table and another small table with bar stools on the deck along with lounge chairs. We definitely had options of where to eat and relax. Some things to note: You need to climb 25 stairs to get to the unit, but it was well worth it. The view of the harbor is very nice and we saw some lovely sunsets. I was nervous when I realized we were right across from the fire department, but there were no alarms for our entire stay. The neighborhood was very quiet, neighbors were friendly and the harbor is clean. There is one quirk with the only bathroom in that the main access is from the hall, but the bathroom also has a pocket door entering the master bedroom and the door does not lock. We made it work. Winchester Bay is a small harbor town only five minutes south of Reedsport where we found some nice restaurants. We recommend Kismets Landing, Big Fish Cafe, Highwater Cafe and Jackson’s Coffeehouse Cafe. This is such a nice part of the Oregon coast. We definitely want to come back here and explore some more and absolutely would consider staying at Frank’s house again.

Modern and comfortable.

Very modern space that is bigger than the pictures show. Owner was very pleasant and even offered early check in for free. Would definitely stay here again.

This home was a perfect location for us to relax after working in the area all day. It was clean and comfortable and fit our need perfectly. The owner was amazing to work with. Will stay here again if we are in the area.

Perfect for 2 couples!

Beds are firm and nice clean new building/appt. Loved looking out at the docks and hearing the birds. Nice to lounge on front deck with the view.

This little apartment was called a little slice oh heaven. That is the perfect name. It is clean, well stocked. From the deck you can see the beautiful Bay and enjoy the sunsets.So much better than a hotel room! We enjoyed our time. We will be back again

The best place!

Our family comes out to Winchester Bay every summer. This was by far the best property we have stayed at. We loved it and made wonderful memories as a family once again. Will definitely stay here again. We also rented the house next to this place for the rest of our family. This place was great along with the main house. Frank was great to work with! Thank you!

Winchester Bay Fishing

This is a new apartment that was very comfortable. The beds were comfortable. We had a few minor issues but it did not impact our stay. The homeowner was available to us as needed. I would recommend staying at this location.

Immaculate, lovely apartment!

Owners are very friendly and accommodating! We stayed in this upstairs apartment. Worked perfectly for us since our friends were in the rental home next door. This is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment! We will definitely return again if it is available.

Sweet Little House with a great view

Our family of 3 adults found this house to be perfect for our stay. The deck and sunset views were amazing. Small front room, but the deck made it more spacious. We didn't mind the stairs since they had a good hand rail. The neighbors were very quiet. We plan on coming back to this house.

First Oregon coast trip

Communication before arrival was excellent, as others have stated though it was not cleaned. Called the numbers I had for host but it took a couple hours for him to get back with us. He did get the cleaning lady to come clean. Since our days were busy with exploring, we found that the neighbors on both sides were late night folks. We were there over a weekend which might have been the cause of that?

There seem to be some confusion between VRBO and the host. We showed up and I had to contact the host to get access to the property. Frank did not know we were coming. He quickly provided me with the access code. Evidently the people who clean after someone leaves didn't realize the place was booked so the place had not been cleaned. Frank quickly responded to that as well. People who stayed previously left it in really nice condition. I only giving it less stars because I have not been cleaned and I did not have the access code. But the response by the house took care of everything. Overall the place is beautiful. Everything was new and wonderful. Frank handled everything beautifully.
