About this space
Newly remodeled with all the modern amenities, you will feel the true lake life as you gaze out at the beautiful lake through many of the floor to ceiling windows in every room. Enjoy dinner on the large deck and watch all the fun on the water. The boat dock will have an empty slip for you to slide your boat right in. Right off the dock is a great place for swimming or just sunbath on the huge Lilly pad.
The space
This open concept beautiful home has views of the Lake that are breathtaking from where ever you are inside the house.
Guest access
Guest will have access to every room of the house except a small supply closet with a lock on it.

Amazing Vacation

Amazing Views and Beautiful Sunsets

Perfect house for the family with a deck to enjoy all the sunsets. We do a lot of hiking as a family and being so close in a perfect house to all the state parks of IL was a blessing. Loved this place!!

Amazing lake view stay

Beautifully redecorated home with wonderful lake views. Very comfortable couch and beds. Great place for 4 or more to stay. The deck was the perfect place to relax and enjoy all the lake views.

Girls Weekend

My adult daughter and I had a fun filled girls weekend with our friends. The home was beautiful and spacious, accommodating the 8 of us well. We loved the view and the boat dock. Ellen was so friendly and helpful and she responded quickly to our requests. We would love to visit again.

Relaxing Getaway

We had a very relaxing stay our host communicated well and everything was easy. We do wish there was some information about the house, WiFi, TV, and some local favorites. All and all it was a great weekend.

Beautiful view!!!

This place was spacious and gorgeous! We loved the big island in the kitchen and everything was very clean and fresh, and cozy. The loft was neat and the couch was great to fit all 7 of us! The deck on the house was perfect for coffee in the mornings. The boat dock was great and the kids enjoyed fishing and the swimming with the lily pad. Amazing stay!

Cozy stay, beautiful views!

Beautiful lake views from inside and outside. Super comfy couch and well stocked kitchen for cooking and outdoor grilling. We paid additional fee to use the pontoon boat for the day. Host was helpful and easy to communicate with. Had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Family get away

We had a great time, enjoying the luxury of the home as well as sunshine and fishing of the lake. Covered dock was wonderful to park our boat and to sit and relax. Several farmers markets and antique shops with close distance. Enjoyed hiking at Fern Cliff State Park as well. Property owners were very accommodating and addressed minor concerns immediately.

Wedding Weekend

The place is beautiful! We had a busy weekend and didn't spend a lot of time at the location. But while there it was very comfortable. Coffee and cards out n the deck! Such a beautiful area and a great view of the lake. Would definitely recommend this property to others!

Amazing property!

Reality was even better than the photos of this property! It was sparkling clean, and the view was spectacular! We loved the gorgeous deck and big kitchen, as well as the comfy couch and beds. The dock was also fabulous. We rented a boat, and the owners worked with us to have the boat delivered. Communication before and during the stay was prompt and any and all questions and concerns were addressed within minutes. We love Lake of Egypt and try to come every summer. This will be our new home away from home while we’re there!

Boat dock had a large deck in great shape-perfect for access to swimming in the lake. Pack a cooler before heading down to the dock, as it is a steep walk down to the lake, even with the steps and a paved path to get there. View out back windows was awesome!! You could see the lake while you were cooking or dining or lounging in the comfy couch. Beautiful sunsets.Every evening we enjoyed sitting on the large deck next to the fire pit. Extra propane tanks were provided. We emptied a tank for the fire pit and were able to rapidly return to enjoyment without having to call and wait for someone to deliver more propane. Bathrooms and bedrooms were very nice and beds were comfortable. Communication with host was great and they stopped in when we arrived to see if we had any questions.

I am originally from West Virginia on the New River and migrated to southern Illinois when I started getting grandchildren that I wanted to spend more time with! Anyplace that I am I need a large body of water, being on the water in a boat with the sun on my face and a soft breeze is my idea of the perfect relaxation!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

My daughter and her husband purchased this house on the Lake of Egypt for a summer home to come to and relax and to share with others! It is in a prime location, close to a community boat landing and 3 marinas to rent boats and jet skis, and with all kinds of fun for the kids and the adults! If you are a lover of wines, it is in the heart of the wine country and if you’re a hiker it is in the Shawnee National forest with tons of trails to explore!

What makes us unique? That’s easy for me! The views! No matter where you are in the house the view is amazing, with an all glass front you can see everywhere! It is West facing so the sun sets are amazing! And even with the open concept it is so cozy and comfortable!
