My Searenity is a delightful, attractive dog-friendly cottage! We loved how convenient it was to the beach (literally just steps). We particularly enjoyed that it has both a screened in porch and another porch open to the sky, where we were able to stargaze!!Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, clean and beautiful!

Best part is the view! Great view from inside the home. Home was clean and smelled good upon arrival. Great kitchen. The only negative I have is the grill. It should be replaced or removed. We plan to keep coming back to this same house every year. To others planning to come here….pack less clothes bring more food.

Loved our stay! House was clean and kitchen was very well stocked. Beds were divinely comfortable. Proximity to the beach was a huge bonus.

The water didn’t work properly and I didn’t get to take a shower for two days. The downstairs ceiling also leaked. The grill was disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned in months. I also spent an entire day dealing with repairmen because the owner wouldn’t come out and deal with his own problems. After multiple requests for new lodging, I was moved to a much nicer home with a serious owner who maintained their property. 1/3 of my vacation was ruined, but I did get 278 off of my 2k bill, so at least there’s that. Never rent this property!

We loved the location and distance between Port St Joe and Apalachicola. The beach view from the deck was perfect and very relaxing. We like the laid back vibe of the area, which wasn’t crowded like many other Florida locations in March. The hosts were very responsive. We had an issue with the grill (which needs replacing) but they came out and got it working for our stay. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. The coffee maker could be upgraded though! The listing said there were bikes included, but we found none when we arrived. The hosts responded appropriately and provided bikes for free for our stay. We appreciated the response from the hosts. We would come back!

Communication/Heat Issues

Overall the home is simply wonderful in location, design & appointments. We did have access issues due to arriving on a very stormy continuous drenching rainfall that made getting in difficult. Outside night light were not working so a significant delay in finding the key & access is uncovered so we were drenched. Weather certainly not anyones fault & it was also cold at night. Furnace wasn't working but plenty of blanket. I have no complaints now because we were given a discount due to these issues & I'd definitely recommend & stay again.
