Sticks & Twine great cabin on a working farm on Paris Mountain close to it all

Escape to Sticks & Twine Cabin located at the base of Paris Mountain, conveniently located near downtown Travelers Rest, as well as downtown Greenville and Paris Mountain State Park. Awake to the sound of goats and chickens on this working mini farm where you will have three private acres to relax and enjoy. This 60 year old structure has been completely renovated into a one bedroom cabin that has everything you need. It also has a large deck with adirondack chairs and a picnic table, with plenty of space to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon lunch or dinner from the grill. Our cabin has many appeals, being spacious is not one of them. It sleeps 2 comfortably and we have a blow up mattress for 1 extra (and have hosted families of 4 with 2 small children). Nearby, you will find a greenhouse that is yours to peruse and a large fire pit with additional Adirondack chairs, horseshoes, and cornhole. Walk up to the barn to visit your neighbors (the Goats) and give them some provided treats. This property has a lot of history! You will see evidence of the former pool, now greenhouse, and pool house, which is now the cabin, for three estates up on the mountain in the 1960's.

Cyclists flock to this area and from the driveway are known routes up and down the mountain. Paris Mountain State Park and Downtown Travelers Rest are about 4 miles away (10 minute drive), Furman University is about 2 miles (5 minute drive), and Downtown Greenville is about 5 miles away (15 minute drive).

Host was super responsive. Animals were a nice change of pace and friendly. Cabin was cozy and basics were supplied. Could use a bit of TLC outside but inside was great! A little on the high side of pricing compared to other areas close by but definitely peaceful. I hope improvements are made in the future. As is, I would definitely come back again!

The Goat!

Amazing lay out for 2 people. Nice quiet location in the hills not far from the city. The animals were a nice touch (we fed them every chance we had) along with the swing next to the small creek. We will definitely rent again next time we come to Greenville!

Quaint fall getaway

Came to the area for an event at Furman & college tours in the area. This was a great location central to all our activities and just a few minutes to downtown Greenville. The house was very clean and afforded quality family time together. Loved visiting with the bonus pets too! Proerty is u ique and charming! Communications with owner very prompt too. Hope to return one day!

Peaceful Getaway

Me and my little family decided to take a quick trip for the long weekend. We enjoyed this spacious home and the sounds of nature. Our host was so friendly and supplied us with everything we needed and more for our stay. We enjoyed the frozen pizzas left for us in their fridge, it was perfect for when we got in! The place was easy to find, the goats, and chickens were all very welcoming. Despite the thunderstorm that hit us on our last day, the stay was exactly what we all needed.

Cozy one night stay

My husband and stayed with our 5 year old little boy while passing through Greenville. The cabin was clean, attractive and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable with a nice fan overhead. The firewood was too wet for a bonfire, but we made delicious s’mores in the toaster oven! My son enjoyed feeding the animals and inside the cabin it was very quiet. The location was convenient with a “cabin in the woods” feel. It was only a short drive to the TR farmer’s market and one of our favorite breakfast places, Tandem creperie! Our host was very responsive to messages and had everything ready for us. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Outstanding Cabin

The cabin is beautifully done and berry white and cozy. A lot of care has been taken to match everything to the aesthetic down to the outlet covers, appliances, and silverware. The hosts are friendly and the location is close to town but feels secluded and private at the same time. Ample outdoor space and the animals are of course a fun element. I would not hesitate to book this location again. The bed is comfortable and the hot water comes on fast. S’more ingredients and frozen pizzas provided were a suprise treat and very appreciated! The best VRBO experience you could ask for.

Awesome Pool House Near Paris Mountain

Absolutely loved this place! This is one of those places that the pictures don't do it justice. Rustic chic is the best I can describe it. Loved the surroundings just as much as the interior. Clean, comfortable, and very tastefully done on both the inside and out. The host is just as amazing as the unit! We grabbed this place for an overnight visit on our anniversary weekend and Gretchen left and bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries as a surprise. Very nice touch to say the least. We'll definitely recommend this rental and will be back ourselves.
