Casa Isa, La Boquilla with the comforts of home

Welcome to Casa Isa, the civilized house near Huatulco, overlooking La Boquilla. Since we are off the beaten path, you might not be familiar with the area, but La Boquilla is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Mexico. A small bay with very little development.

We are an off-grid eco-friendly house. But you won't be missing anything! We are the only house in the area that has air conditioned bedrooms, for a great night's sleep, a pool, two internet connections and a stunning view.
The space
We are about 400 ft from the ocean and 400 ft above it, giving us some of the most beautiful views you could ever hope to see. Our giant palapa covers a second kitchen and dining area on the roof. The beach we overlook, Playa La Boquilla (recently rated one of the 13 best beaches in all of Mexico by Condé Nast Traveler), is a beach with few visitors and plenty of room to make yourself at home, and another rocky bay just to the east.

Inside the house is a fully equipped and spacious kitchen. The roof provides another kitchen with a stove, grill and refrigerator ready for your BBQ needs.

Our property is 33 acres (13 hectares) in size, with strenuous hiking opportunities for the adventurous guest.

The property is beautiful. Amazing views. It’s a 5-10 minute walk down the hill to the beach. The walk back up can be tiring, but Jorge will pick you up if you wish. The last few miles of the drive to the house are on dirt roads, not in the best condition. We rented a sedan, and I wish I’d rented an AWD vehicle. But it’s doable also with a sedan. The beach is beautiful. There’s a hotel on the beach so you can have lunch there.Overall, great rental if you’re looking for an isolated spot with beautiful views and a nice beach.

Off the beaten path but worth it

A really cool house on a really cool property. Travel in and out is on a pretty sketchy but well travelled road. We had a 4 x 4 and would highly recommend the same. Not sure how fun it would be in the rain, but we never saw a drop. Remember that you are getting an off grid house, that is hard to get to, but really is worth it in the end. Bring a bunch of groceries and relax.Perfect to completely detach from crowds, and just enjoy peace. The food from the restaurant down the hill is so so, but better than cooking yourself. Jorge did us a favor by playing delivery driver a couple times.Jorge and Alex were great. They worked OT when there were some issues with the electricity, and always were available if we needed them. Language was a bit of a barrier as I have only rudimentary Spanish, but google translate got the job done.Internet was good, and there was a TV there that was not listed on the ad. We brought our own firestick.Pool was great. Weather was hot. Great place!

Beautiful house in a beautiful place

This is a gorgeous house high above the ocean with outstanding views and a great pool. The views from here are spectacular. The owner of the house and "Jorge" who is there at the house to assist you are both extremely accomodating and helpful. This is in a very remote part of Oaxaca and in a very small town, so it is quiet and felt very safe. The walk to the beach isn't far but steep. Jorge will take you back up the hill if you want a lift. It is a very beautiful place but very isolated, so come here if you really want to relax and be away from crowds. The only real restaurant and bar within walking distance is at the lovely beach at Bahia de la Luna. The food there is excellent and they also have a great bar. We hung out there every day. But there is very little else to do in this area. There are no shops or other activities in this location. If you have a car, the roads are quite rough, but you could get out and see more. You can take boat taxis from the beach, but we didn't do this. All in all, a great place to stay if you are going to this area! Highly recommend the house.
