Spacious 5 Bedroom House On Double Lot In Lakeside One Block From The Lake!

This roomy and beautiful two-story cottage, one block from the Perry Park tennis and pickleball courts, is perched on a sloping double lot on Third Street and has every amenity to make your Lakeside visit joyful. "Big Red" has been in our family for 4 generations and has been immaculately, lovingly renovated every step of the way.

Entering up the steps to the front porch, you'll have sweeping views to watch and listen to birds and more than a few morning walkers carrying Patio donuts by the dozen. There is a large porch swing to take in the scene (or to take a nap) and an 8-person table to serve meals or to contribute to the more than 10,000 hands of double-Solitaire that have been played over the years.

The rest of the ground floor features a living room with a library of books for your enjoyment and a piano for anyone looking to tickle the ol' ivories. Just off of the living room is a renovated bathroom with a large shower/tub, and also a very large bedroom with a bunkbed and a queen size bed -- absolutely perfect for a young family to share.

Also on the ground floor is a spacious and bright kitchen that leads to an enormous back sunroom with a large dining table, couch and flat screen smart TV to watch the Guardians as they surely prevail this season. Wifi is throughout the cottage and is as blazing hot as the Lakeside dock on the 4th of July. Speaking of heat, Big Red has split level Mitsubishi A/C units to keep you nice and cool throughout the days and nights.

But wait, there's more! Just off the sunroom is a stone patio with table / umbrella / seating and a grill to fire up some dogs to, once again, celebrate the Guardians many victories. Wildflowers, plants and an abundance of trees help shade the backyard and provide a sense of serenity and peace.

4 large bedrooms await you, each with ample space to put away all your luggage and belongings. One of the bedrooms was named "The Robin's Nest" many years ago by our great grandmother and is a sleeping porch that is potentially the sweetest spot on planet earth to wake up in.

Also on the second floor is a large bathroom / laundry room with washer & dryer to help get the sand out of swimsuits and powdered sugar out of t-shirts.

Last but certainly not least, at the top of the stairs is our "Big Red Wall of Fame" that features hundreds of signatures from friends, family and guests who've stayed over the many years.

The cottage has five bedrooms:
Bedroom #1 downstairs has one queen and one twin bunk bed set
Bedroom #2 upstairs has one full
Bedroom #3 upstairs has two twins
Bedroom #4 upstairs has one full
Bedroom #5 upstairs has one full

The cottage has 1.5 bathrooms: full bath downstairs with tub/shower and a half bath upstairs. There is also a full size sleeper sofa ground floor, back room. Renters/guests are not permitted to bring pets, although property owners may or may not have pets.

*Please note: a cleaning fee of $200 is required with each reservation. Upon departure, renters must wash, dry and put away all kitchenware, remove all trash and take to receptacles near the Welcome Center, and fold bedspreads neatly at the foot of the beds.

**Please note: Pool and other Lakeside activities are seasonal. During the summer months, all guests and cars require paid entrance to Lakeside to access the house and the amenities the town has to offer. ***Please note that bed linens and towels will not be provided. You can either bring your own towels and linens or use Lakeside Linen Supply, a local business, that will deliver linens to the porch the day of your arrival and pick them up after you depart.
