Idyllic A-Frame in Michigan's Harbor Wine Country- Pet friendly!

Follow a wooded path to a secluded mid-century modern cottage constructed of stone and wood reclaimed wood from a historic St Joe's rollercoaster. Retro pink ceramic tiles line an open-plan main floor surrounded by sliding doors. You will be surrounded by the great outdoors while sitting cozy inside by our electric fireplace. Located about 10 minutes south of downtown St. Joe, our Idyllic A-frame is a perfect location for the escape to SW Michigan that you've been dreaming about.

Built out of wood from the historic Silver Beach roller coaster, the Willow House is a living piece of St. Joseph history. Located about 10 minutes south of downtown St. Joe, our little spot is a perfect location for all that SW Michigan has to offer.

Centrally located in Stevensville, the house is only about a mile to the beach at Grand Mere Park. A few minutes in either direction and you'll be close to great local restaurants, Michigan craft breweries, and the countless vineyards and tasting rooms of Harbor wine country.

Once home for the day, relax by the fire pit, grill on the outdoor deck, or take in your favorite show on Netflix, Hulu, or other popular apps that are logged-in and ready for use on the Smart Roku TV. Both bedrooms have ultra-comfortable queen size beds for a great night's sleep, and the full size futon is a close runner-up!
Guest access
Accessing the house during any and all hours is simple thanks to our keypad entry on site. So don't sweat that late night arrival!

To get to the house, you’ll turn off of Red Arrow Hwy and head down a steep gravel road called Willow Road that takes you back into our long wooded lot.

*AWD or 4X4 required for Winter bookings*

We recommend keeping your Prius at home if you're visiting us in the winter. The steep road down to our home can occasionally be a challenge in the snowy months, but typically an SUV can conquer it.

Please note that property is secluded but not far from a major interstate. So road noise can be heard. Most people never notice. Some love it, some don’t. There are sound machines in each bedroom just in case.

There is an open staircase with no handrails that can be very dangerous for babies/toddlers. Please keep them close if you do decide to visit.

Not really a complaint but just to make aware poison ivy was pretty thick going down to the fire pit other than that was absolutely perfect!! Thank you so much for the place to stay.

Great little spot. Drive way is very steep and difficult to get onto main road. We also had some issues with mice getting into our food at night.

This cabin is in a nice location and has everything you need for a fun beach getaway. The staircase is a little steep but we expected it to be. I could tell there had been some furry animals staying before us and our allergies were a little affected for the couple of nights we stayed. It’d be a great spot if you do have pets as the woods are a great surrounding. Close to everything you want to do in the area.

Really cute cottage in the woods, great to disconnect and relax. The road noise is always there, it is like white noise to us and wasn't a problem.

Super cute & comfortable cottage

Wonderful, magical spot in the woods. Feels secluded but close to the freeway and quick drive to Warren Dunes and Grand Mere State Parks. Excellent communication with the host. Easy self check in and check out process. The cottage was well stocked with all the amenities we needed. The windows and natural light were lovely. Would definitely come back and try the local wineries next time!

Deep in the Woods!

Great cabin. Not good communication to gain access. A phone # would be great. I could not connect with VRBO. E-Mail and Password not in system. ??????????? Wife called the insurance person and he helped us. 2 bathrooms would have been better. Tub is very slippery. Need to keep towel in bottom. Not sure what to to at exit time. with Towels and Garbage. Outdoor walkway and deck could have bee cleaner. We swept it ourselves. Missing wheel from Grill. Found it in the weeds. I put it back on. (NO CHARGE). Loved all the amenities.

This house is a mere 10 minutes from Warren Dunes. It's 14 minutes from downtown St Joseph and it's famous Silver Beach. It's 3 whole minutes from Grand Mere state park and all of it's hiking and natural beauty. Not to mention, Watermark brewery is just down the road in downtown Stevensville. There is never ending fun, relaxation and entertainment in Southwest Michigan.

This A-frame house is from all the best storybooks. It stole my heart immediately, but then it's 14 acres of wooded forest solidified that love. Couple all of that with it's stone fireplace and walls of windows and sliding doors and you've truly got something special. It's location, too, is pristine.
