Utopia River Retreat is a secluded paradise nestled along the Sabinal River in the Texas Hill Country.
Our flagship home was originally constructed in the 1860's as a fort with gun-ports as a defense against Indian incursions into the valley. Carefully renovated to maintain its historic integrity, this magnificent home now boasts two-master suites and an upstairs area with 3 semi-private lofts. Large living and dining areas and wrap-around porches make this ideal for larger groups. Sleeps up to 12.

Not a retreat
Picture of property is an exaggeration of what the property looks like, swimming pool was green and filled with algae. We were told it was safe to swim in which is incorrect. House had an infestation of ants in one of the master bedroom. You could hear the mice or bats making a lot of noises in the chimney. There was a lot of mice/rat droppings around the porch. The table set in the patio was disgusting and dirty which we were unable to use. I would not recommend this property to anyone, especially if you have kids.
