Great place on the lake!

Our family stayed here for a little over 2 weeks, while relocating, and loved it. Miguel was super friendly and helpful. The outdoor deck was huge with a nice walkway down to the lake. It was very relaxing to end some stressful days fishing off the dock with the family. We took one day off and rented a pontoon boat that we could bring right up to the dock to unload and let people on and off. Overall recommend!

Exactly what we Needed

We needed a month long rental, close to City limits but without the city traffic. It was perfect. Owners were delightful and brought us homemade doughnuts that were delicious. Thank you Miguel.

Woodsy relaxation

The woods, lake and peaceful setting made for a relaxing fall visit. Nice layout and wonderful showers! Great kitchen, with vaulted family room. rustic, yet warm and lovely. The stone deck overlooks the lake and it was just what I was hoping for!

Entrance to house

Property needs lighting going up the outside steps to entrance of house. Pretty dangerous at night. Refrigerator had a lot of expired items in freezer from I’m guessing previous tenants. Owners where very nice.

Wonderful location but a bit lackluster!

The location of the property is very secluded and tranquil. Neighbors are nearby but not too close, although the property owners live in the basement apartment.Upon entering, my first comment was "this is smaller than the pictures". The outside deck needed some TLC, weeds coming up between the stones, gutters needed to be cleaned out and the furniture need to be replaced, broken bench.There were only enough forks for one meal, we had to buy plasticware. Some of the pots and pans were scratched and rusted. There was also food left in the freezer, chicken tenders and fries anyone?As for the cleanliness, let's just say, that if I'm paying 80 as a cleaning fee, I was expecting more. Smears all over the stainless appliances, used bars of soap in the shower and not enough toilet paper for 4 people for a week.The thing that put me over the edge, was when I went to do laundry before we left, to my surprise, there was a load of damp sheets and towels left in the washer and the vacuum was full of dirt and left out for all to see.FYI, there is no hot tub, although there is a sauna but not very accessible, it down by the garage.

Overgrown property

The property was probably lovely in the past, but is in dire need of some cleaning and grounds keeping. You can not see the lake from the home/deck due to overgrowth of trees. And the dock doesn’t appear to have been used in years with grime and dirt. The location is close in relation to Charlotte and surrounding areas, including the airport. But be prepared to hear the planes at all times of the day and night. The owners remained on the property in the basement despite stating they would be leaving the day after our arrival. However, we did not hear them, only saw them outside from time to time. The home is pet friendly which is nice, but beware, there is a “neighborhood dog” (old lab) that wonders the property. She is friendly, but if your dog is reactive, you’ll have to be strategic when you want to take your dog out to the bathroom. The home is cozy, but the cleanliness was sub-par. The refrigerator was not cleaned, the second bedroom didn’t appear to have been cleaned at all. The bed sheets had a urine stain and smelled of urine (likely a dog). We attempted to launder the sheets, only to find the washer full of towels, and the dryer did not work. We contacted the owners who were kind enough to bring us more towels for our stay (Thursday-Monday). The master bedroom and bath were clean and nice, except for the dental pick that we found on the headboard of our bed. The owners were very apologetic for the issues we encountered and we did receive a partial refund.
