Some friends and I spent Christmas 2026 at this cabin, and couldn’t have asked for a better getaway from the city for a few days. Greg was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

House is clean and well furnished. Quite and secluded but within 10 minutes of anything you need. Greg and Maggie are amazing hosts!!! Great communication and friendly. We will stay again.

This scenic, peaceful cabin was exactly the remove my wife and I search for whenever we're planning a special occasion or anniversary getaway. The amenities were in fine shape, rooms cleaned and inviting, and communication from our host was clear, concise, and completely straightforward. Also, our pets loved the open spaces both in and around the cabin. The sunrise as seen from the sunroom which overlooks the pond is not to be missed. We can't recommend this cabin highly enough!

This property is a slice of heaven. Greg and Maggie have created an incredible, one of a kind place where you can experience true quiet and solitude, stargaze, and really unplug and relax. Our dogs loved romping across the property, and we really enjoyed the kayak and paddle boat. The pictures honestly don't even do the place justice. We were blown away! We plan to come back every chance we get.

My dog and I stayed for a few nights and we had everything we needed. The area was so quiet and peaceful
 perfect for my sensitive rescue dog. The property looked so well kept and maintained. The fishing was great. The owners communicated really well especially when I realized that I forgot my dog’s collar after I had already left. I was touched when they offered to mail it to me. I would highly recommend staying here.

10/10 would recommend. My husband, dog, and I stayed the weekend at this beautiful cabin. Perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Caught some bass and blue gill and most importantly enjoyed watching our dog Monty run around the property! Maggie and Greg are great hosts! Answered my questions in a timely manner. Easy check in and out.

My family is always traveling to major cities and urban areas for work and sports this was a nice change of pace . We loved this cabin and definitely plan on returning. Was a nice secluded cabin , relaxing , and peaceful . The scenery was beautiful to us and the fishing was great . The cabin had all the amenities needed and some . We recommend!!!

Secluded, Beautiful and Peaceful

The cabin is a lovely peaceful getaway that we hope to visit again. Our dog loved the grounds where the owner generously mowed paths around the property to make walking and exploring fun and enjoyable.For those looking to fish - there isn’t a pier and the ground leading down to the water isn’t level - just something to be aware of waterproof shoes with good traction would be helpful.

Cozy cute cabin. Clean and nicely appointed. Very comfortable..my family had a wonderful time here. Greg was a great host. We even caught fish. I think are dog Remy had the best time. Very pet friendly,Remy even signed the guest book.The only hiccup was we couldn't find any sheets or pillow cases for the sofa bed. Maybe we didn't look hard enough.

Charming property

This is the perfect place if you want peace and quiet and privacy over what has become a very noisy holiday. July Fourth should be about more than blowing stuff up but that’s what it’s become to a lot of people so I got out of town and came here. Perfect for rest and relaxation. The owners are nice and the cabin is perfect. It was just what I wanted and needed. Thank you Maggie and Greg.

The cabin was excellent. The hosts were very communicative and very quick to answer questions while being extremely polite. The property was secluded and beautiful. The only negative was the weather, which was no fault of the hosts or the property, as it was very hot and humid. When we book this property in the future, we'd like to choose a cooler time of year. Other than that, our experience was perfect! Thank you Greg and Maggie for exceptional hospitality and an amazing experience!

Peaceful Getaway with Room for Improvement

We had a meaningful and relaxing stay at this quiet cabin tucked away in New Windsor, IL. The best part was definitely the scenery—absolutely beautiful views and plenty of privacy. It was the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature. The fishing was top-notch, and we loved that we could bring our dog along, which made the trip even better.That said, there were a few things that could use some attention. We had quite an issue with ants in the kitchen and bathroom—we even had to hide our donuts in the microwave to keep them safe! The paddle boat and canoe on-site were unfortunately not usable, both were filled with water and in rough shape. Also, most of the roads leading to and around the area are gravel, which might be something to consider if you're driving a nicer vehicle.The bed was also a bit small for us as an average-sized couple—it was a snug fit. Still, the charm of the place and the peaceful surroundings made up for a lot, and overall, we really enjoyed our time here. With a few updates, this spot could be truly exceptional.
