Your cozy getaway awaits in Little York at this delightful cabin. This charming retreat, nestled on 11 wooded acres, overlooks a fully stocked private pond which guests are welcome to do some catch and release fishing from. A rowboat and a paddle boats are available for your use. Life jackets are required and provided. There is a fire pit that guests are welcome to enjoy as they unwind from their day.

The cabin is quite cozy and rustic. It features a bedroom with a comfy full size bed, a cozy living room with a day bed that can sleep 2 , and all the essentials like a washing machine, coffee maker, hair dryer, heating, and AC. The bathroom has a shower only. While drinking water is supplied, the water from the faucets is non-potable. You will have access to an 850 gallon tank of water for non consumable use. In the event that you use more than this during your stay, you will need to contact the owner to replenish at a fee of $100.

We had the most wonderful time during our stay at Lazy Oaks! The setting is ideal for escaping from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is very remote and surrounded by forrest and wildlife. We have a family member who is profoundly disabled and tends to get very loud at times. No problem in this setting, as one can yell as loud as they can, and it won’t disturb anyone! That alone made this place perfect for us. The view is spectacular. It was wonderful to sit on the porch in the morning overlooking the pond, enjoying coffee and taking in the sounds of nature. We really enjoyed being able to use the rowboat and the paddle boat. We were amazed at how many fish were present and how big they were! Next time we will most definitely bring our fishing poles! We really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night, making stores and eating too many!There was good communication from the host and the only surprises were good ones. Thank you so much for the perfect retreat. We’ll be back!

Felt like I was the only person in the world. Feeding the fish was fun. Bird watching was good. I left the two full candy jars emptier than was good for me.

The place is wonderful, peaceful and full of things to do. Just outside Monmouth makes grocery and needful things convenient. Having brought all that we needed did not have to leave… aside from going to the Lake Warren fireworks. Enjoyed every moment… plan ahead for all the water fun!! Perfect for family time or quiet time

In all aspects, this was a great experience and worth the trip. I can’t explain how peaceful it was, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility, all while staying in a great environment and listening to the sounds of nature then look no further. I went with my wife and 2 little ones and they had a blast. From feeding the fish in the pond, riding the peddle and row boat, scavenger hunt at day and night (glow sticks). It was truly a great experience and Bryant was even a better host to add on. Don’t think twice, just book the Melton’s cabin and thank me later!Gerald.
