THüRSK Cottage is located on beautiful spring-fed Palmerston Lake. Shallow water entry with sandy bottom makes it a perfect family getaway to unwind, enjoy the peace and relaxation.

Surrounded by picturesque nature trails and breathtaking views, this open concept 'A' frame cottage, includes a spacious loft and 2 bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 6.

BIG bright windows with gorgeous westerly views are the perfect frame for the vibrant sunsets and nighttime stargazing, unlike any other.

Sitting on just under 1 acre of land, THüRSK cottage is located on Palmerston Lake in the scenic region of North Frontenac.

Open concept main floor includes spanning balcony with mosquito net, indoor propane fireplace, living space, and kitchen. Main floor bedroom has a Queen size bed and a 3-piece bathroom. Take the spiral staircase up to the spacious loft which includes a second balcony, pull out couch, TV with DVDS and game consoles. Second floor bedroom includes a Queen, Double and single beds.

Leaving the main door, take either the stone steps or gentle slope down to the waterfront with shallow water access, sandy bottom and 20ft dock. Frolic in the sun, read a book in the hammock or enjoy a water activity. THüRSK cottage is equipped with a kayak, canoe and paddle board. Variety of life vests provided for your convenience. Have your own boat to bring? Boat launch just minutes away. Don't forget to bring your fishing rods - Palmerston lake is known for its trout fishing. Backyard includes charcoal BBQ and a fire pit for all your s’mores needs.

Have any aches and pains? THüRSK cottage is equipped with wood burning sauna with perfect access to the lake to cool off and rejuvenate after a hot steam.

Looking for an adventure? Miles of hiking trails at the Canonto Nature Reserve - 5 minute walk or Bon Echo Park - 40 minute drive. Plenty of room to run around, play, explore or roast marshmallows in the fire pit. On a rainy day, warm up by an indoor fireplace, crack open some board games or challenge someone to a game of Wii.

Wonderful weekend getaway

Beautiful place, very comfortable, clean and spacious house, wonderful stay. Easy to access, fairly close to Ottawa and Perth, good fishing place. Host is very friendly, helpful and quick to reply.

Beautiful quiet cottage

Very clean and comfortable cottage in a private and quiet location. Wood burning sauna was easy to use and very enjoyable.

A Perfect Family Retreat at Thürsk CottageOur recent stay at Thürsk Cottage was a truly wonderful experience for our family—my wife, our 10-year-old son, and myself. Tucked away right on the edge of the lake, this charming cottage offered the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and a touch of rustic charm.The cottage itself was spacious and inviting, with two levels featuring balconies that provided perfect raised views of the sparkling lake and the surrounding trees. Each evening, we were treated to stunning sunsets over the water—an experience that was simply magical.One of the highlights of our stay was taking our son on his first fishing adventure. With the lake just steps away, he had the thrill of catching his very first fish. We spent countless hours by the water, laughing and bonding as a family.Evenings at Thürsk Cottage were equally special. We loved gathering around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and watch the stars twinkle above.Violetta, our host, was incredibly helpful and always available to message whenever we had questions. She generously provided fishing rods, a canoe, a kayak, and life jackets of all sizes, which made our days on the water even more enjoyable. Her thoughtful hospitality truly added to the comfort and ease of our stay.If we find ourselves back in Canada sometime, Thürsk Cottage is first on our list. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and already looking forward to returning!
