Peaceful Lakefront Cottage - Large Deck, Dock & Rustic Outdoor Charm

Welcome to your private lakeside escape on beautiful 12 Mile Big Gull Lake—where mornings begin with coffee on a spacious, sun-drenched deck and end with unforgettable sunsets that light up the lake. Nestled right along the shoreline, our cozy cottage offers direct lake access, complete with a large dock perfect for relaxing, swimming, or setting off on one of our small watercrafts (or bringing your own). A nearby boat launch makes getting out on the water easy and convenient.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay, blending rustic charm with thoughtful amenities. The cottage features two bedrooms: one with a full-sized bed, and another with two sets of bunk beds—one of which includes a full-sized bed on the bottom—making it ideal for families or groups. The living area offers additional flexibility with two couch/cots that can also be used for sleeping.

Step outside and fully embrace cottage life with our unique alfresco outdoor shower, where you can enjoy fresh air and scenic views as you rinse off after a day on the lake. The detached bathroom adds to the character and charm of the property.

Whether you're here for fishing, boating, water sports, or simply unwinding in a peaceful, private setting, this cottage is the perfect place for families and friends to gather, reconnect, and make lasting memories.

Please bring towels and bedding with you. If you would like we can provide bedding for an additional cost. Inside the cottage we have a few games, cards, backgammon, scrabble, chess and trivial pursuit! We have a Mr. Coffee drip coffee maker. Basic kitchen amenities are provided it's just asked that if you use the last of the trash bags or paper towels, for instance that the guest will replace them.
We also have a small fan, a large fan and a window fan at the cottage.
We have left 4 medium to large sized life jackets which are required to have with you on the boats. Provided are a row boat, a paddle boat, a canoe and a standup paddle board.
The Webber grill works great. Sometimes it needs to be started with a fire lighter.
Without a doubt you will see big gulls, loons, herons ,chipmunks, dragonflies and humming birds! You may also see a turtle or beaver / otter swim by! If you aren't carful with food and trash outside you may meet the racoons!! On a clear night the stars are incredible.

We do ask that you remove all of your trash with you when you leave. There is no trash service. We usually burn any paper in the campfire and we try and keep cans and plastics to a minimum when purchasing our food. You will find fire wood under the cabin.
This cottage has been in our family since the 1968. We love her just the way she is. :)
