Sanibel Moorings, with its beautiful botanical gardens, provides a wonderful, peaceful place to stay on Sanibel Island. Ten members of our family (three generations) gathered there in two adjacent units, and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Both condominiums were sparkling clean and well-appointed. The kitchens provided all we needed for cooking and eating in, and the beds were very comfortable. The screened-in porches provided a lovely place to sit amidst the trees, with pretty views of the canal. We were so impressed by the friendliness and quick responsiveness of the management and office staff; when we reported a needed repair to a furniture leg upon our arrival, maintenance staff were there to fix it within an hour. The office staff cheerfully answered our questions when we stopped by and clearly cared about our satisfaction. We stayed in one of the buildings across the road from the beach and found that location to be excellent. The pool on that side was convenient, and the walk to beach was easy and pleasant, passing through lovely gardens. The beach was excellent, right in front of a sand bar that was easily accessible during low tide. Grounds employees brought out lounge chairs and umbrellas each morning. There is good shelling all along that area, and it’s a doable run or walk to the light house for those looking for exercise. All in all, everyone in our group enthusiastically recommends Sanibel Moorings!
