Maring "de Beach House situé sur la magnifique baie Lochabar!

Notre maison est située à seulement 75 'de la plage dans une crique privée de Long Island, Bahamas. Il dispose de deux chambres, le maître a un lit queen size avec des portes-fenêtres donnant sur le magnifique lagon bleu, la deuxième chambre a des lits jumeaux donnant sur les jardins. La cuisine entièrement équipée, salon, salle à manger et tous offrent une vue pittoresque de la Caraïbe. Portes françaises du salon ouvert au grand 1000 sq ft pont.
Egalement disponible sur la propriété est un appartement de 600 pieds carrés qui se trouve de dessus du garage, il a un lit queen size, salle de bain privée et d'une kitchenette. La propriété est magnifiquement paysagé, comme il est était notre profession et maintenant notre passe-temps!
Nous avons deux vélos et une planche à voile pour votre usage.

We’ve been visiting the Bahamas for 20 years but this was our first time to Long Island. From the moment we walked through the front door of the Marings, we knew we’d picked the right place to stay! The views of Lochabar Bay and the cays across the way are simply stunning—sweeping and expansive, and yet the location and configuration of the thoughtfully landscaped property allow for complete privacy. Having kayaks on hand was terrific as we were able to see even more from the water: turtles, small sharks and schools of fish, barracuda, sea stars, sand dollars… The cottage setup, décor, and furnishings (both inside and out) are comfortable and in keeping with a beach house, which we thoroughly appreciated (wood, rattan, cushioned). The kitchen is well equipped, living and eating areas spacious, and bedrooms perfect for listening to the ocean waves while drifting to sleep. We were glad for other amenities as well: the outdoor shower, large washing machine, two clotheslines, bbq grill, cooler and chairs to take to the beaches, a cupboard full of games and puzzles.Since we were lucky enough to have four weeks on Long Island, we took the opportunity to explore just about everywhere. Each time we returned to “our” cottage, we truly felt we were home. Our sincere thanks to the Marings for sharing their place!

Gorgeous location

Overall we had a very nice time here. The location and scenery is tough to beat. We were there in December which is the windy time of year which limited some beach time and kayaking but there are plenty of places to go on the leeward side.

Amazing place!! Stop searching and book!

The Maring Beach house was exactly as listed on VRBO and then some! Clean, comfortable with all the amenities! Perfect for a family, group of friends or just a couple. Close to restaurants, Erica’s Bakery and the marina. We kept our boat at Flying Fish Marina for a month and this home was perfect. I wish it had been available for our entire stay. Sue, the owner was very helpful and accommodating! You won’t be disappointed. Oh and did I mention the VIEW?!?! Stunning from the minute you walk in the front door to dinners on the back porch. Sunrises to sunsets left us all speechless (and we live on the beach in Southwest Florida)! We will be back for sure!!!

Sue’s home is very comfortable with all the amenities you need and a beautiful view over the Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise and the boating activity from the expansive deck. The Lochabar beach is a long quiet stretch of powdery white sand with great swimming, walking and snorkeling. We will be back!

Absolutely Incredible View

The views from the multiple decks, as well as the master bedroom, were the most beautiful we have ever seen! Having backyard access to swimming and kayaking was just awesome. The house was beautifully decorated making it feel like home. We cannot say enough about this location. It surpassed all of our expectations!

We've stayed at a variety of placed from north to south on LI & decided this was our favorite. We loved the bay, the house had all we needed, the views from the deck & lower deck are incredible, the kayaks were so much fun - and led us to great snorkeling, shelling, fishing, beach walking, bed was comfy..... we could go on and on. Bahamian perfection

First let me say that we love Long Island, this was our seventh stay on the island. We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this property. The house is private but not far from restaurants and stores. We particularly enjoyed the deck and the bay with abundant wildlife a few step off the deck. The house itself was clean and comfortable and outdoor shower invigorating. We would definitely stay there again!! Thank You Sue for sharing your home.

Great Long Island Destination

The Maring house was all that was advertised and then some! We spent a 9 days here and found it to be comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen accomodated all our cooking needs as did the outside grills - both gas and fire! We loved the big deck overlooking Lochabar Bay as well as the beach to the south that was a short 5 minute walk away. The beds were comfy and we loved the outside shower and clothes lines. The kayaks were also in excellent condition. We will be coming back to this beautiful and serene spot in the future!!

We loved our time on the island and the location of this property in relation to the places we wanted to visit was great! We traveled the whole island in a rental car. Zero Pressure

From the moment I walked in to the house I felt my blood pressure drop, and my mind flashed on Robinson Crusoe. I immediately turned to my wife and told her we made a mistake, we should have booked longer.. much longer...which we did for next year before we even left. I think that pretty much says about everything. Our days started with a cup of joe on the deck overlooking beautiful Lochabar Bay, a little breakfast and then off to explore a new beach everyday. Private beaches and sun kissed days... it doesn't get any better than that. Very nice house in a very private setting.

We’re a family of 4 & first-time visitors to Long Island, though familiar with the Bahamas & Caribbean. Happy with location of Maring’s Beach House—very central, easy to explore the island.The house was spacious, very clean & comfortable, with beautiful views. We slept well every night thanks to very comfortable beds & pillows. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, glassware, & plenty of bath towels for our family.A few things to note: beach access is highly tide-dependent—we only had a tiny usable beach for 3 hours on 2/8 days, so it’s worth checking tide charts. Afternoon sun warms the kitchen quite a bit; curtains would help. Two stove burners must be lit manually, the ceiling fan blows them out, so only used 2 burners. Oven was dirty, both outdoor grills were rusty, did not use. Washer works well, no dryer or clothesline.Kayaks & snorkel gear available, though we didn’t use them as the water was rough. Shower head is fixed, no shower shelf space for soaps etc., towel rack fits only 2 towels.Master bedroom lacks curtains on one window; the others have stationary panels that don’t block morning warm sun (6:20am). Blackout curtains would help cool the house.A patio umbrella in a closet but nowhere to put it. A stand would be great for the deck.After a few brief communication with the host & owner, I didn’t get a welcoming feeling so I didn’t bother communicating. Overall, peaceful stay in a central & scenic location which we still enjoyed.

July on Long Island

My wife and I visited Long Island for a couple weeks early July 2024 and had a wonderful stay at the Marings Beach House. The property is very private and well situated on Lochabar Bay with a small section of sandy beach area when the tide isn't high. Access to the beach is a short walk, about 100', from the back door and down several steps formed into the into the rocks. The folding beach chairs were very nice to have, as well as the kayaks (there are lifejackets as well). It was very hot during our stourin July making the AC a must and worked well. There is a small window unit in both bedrooms and a larger unit that cools the main area. The cupboards are well stocked with everything we needed for our 2 week stay. The Beach house taps are fed from a cistern under the house which is not drinkable but provides water for everything else. Drinking water is purchased from Erica's Bakery in 5 gallon cooler bottles which needs to be lifted and poured into smaller 4 litre jugs for dispensing. When we arrived, there were a couple 5 gallon bottles provided. It's about a 5 minute drive to Clarence Town and Erica's Bakery to get water, bread and a few supplies. Our stay at the Marings Beach house was wonderful. The view from the master bedroom, looking out to the bay when you wake up in the morning was just what we were looking for! sehr gut ausgestattete Unterkunft mit Meerblick

Das Haus hat einen tollen Ausblick auf die Lochabar Beach. Es gibt einen Zugang zum Wasser, der etwas holprig ist. Zwei Kanus und ein Surfboard darf man benutzen. Zum eigentlichen Sandstrand kann man durchs Wasser laufen oder 8 Minuten zu Fuß gehen. Auf der Seite zum Meer hat das Haus eine große Terrasse mit Liegestühlen und einen Tisch mit Stühlen. Gefallen hat uns die Außendusche mit heißem Wasser. Außerdem sind Küche und Wohnbereich top ausgestattet. Es fehlt praktisch an nichts, sogar eine gute Waschmaschine gibt es. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind auch nett eingerichtet. Am Badezimmer ist auch nichts auszusetzen.

Quiet Little Slice of Paradise

Was in the area for a work trip and had a great time at Maring Beach House. There is a plenty of space, and you’re right at the edge of the beautiful water. Definitely a good spot for quiet and to relax. Had a lot of amenities (no TV, but in this case that’s a good thing), and kitchen had a good assortment of cookware. It’s a rock beach rather than sand where the house accesses the water, but still the exquisite warm blue waters of the Bahamas. Sue was super helpful and communicative, and very flexible some last minute requests. You’re not close enough to any shops to walk, so a rental car is still a must, but you are just a 5-10 minute drive from the couple of stores and restaurants in Clarence Town. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend you do as well!

Better than the pictures

We are so grateful to sue for opening up this beautiful beach home for people to enjoy. I feel most pictures can be so deceiving when it comes to rentals. That was not the case with this. Amazing sea views

We had a lovely holiday at Marings Beach House. The location is great and the sea view from the large deck was the highlight for us the turquoise sea colours were a delight. We swam right by the house and our boys enjoyed catching Hermit Crabs and watching the wild life..We stayed for three weeks and hope to return again soon. The house is very well equipped there is AC but we didn’t use as there was always a sea beeeze.

Our names are Mike and Sue Maring. We are a retired couple living in Lexington Virginia. We previously owned a garden center and landscape business for 30 years and a winery/vineyard for 15 years in Lowville, New York. We now enjoy gardening and traveling. We have two grown daughters, and two grandchildren whom we love to spend time with.

We love Long Island because it has beautiful white sand beaches with no one on them! The water is absolutely the most crystal clear and gorgeous color of anywhere in the world! It spoils us to swim anywhere else! We love the fact there are no tourists here, just mostly people from Canada or the states that own winter homes. The local people are very friendly, but you don't have peddlers bothering you. They don't exist on this Island. It's just a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere.
