We got with the host very last minute after our previous rental had issues and what a difference this made for our trip. Quick response time, incredibly kind and accommodating! The space was cozy yet modern and everything we were needing. We can't wait to come back and stay longer!

Pleasant and quiet cottage on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie. Nicely renovated, clean, and comfortable. We spent six nights: enjoyed reading and relaxing while looking out over the lake. We will stay again the next time we visit family in the area.

There was no propane for the little fire pit thing, but other than that we had everything we needed. The cottage is adorable, if a little smaller than the pictures suggest. Main bed, couches, hammock, and chair were all very comfortable. Great place to disconnect from the world and enjoy a book and some close company.

Beautiful private property and very well maintained. This is our second time staying here with our doggo and she loves the area as well. Beautiful sunset views! The host communication was also great from the time of the booking.

Beautiful and cozy cottage

Great property. Terrific communication with host. We really appreciated Julie’s flexibility as we had to change our dates a few times. Property was very clean, nicely decorated, and view is lake stunning. A great cozy getaway cottage. Highly recommend!

Very cute and comfy cottage just off of Lake Erie. Check in/out was incredibly easy, as was finding the location. Very quiet. Only stayed one night as I was passing through, but it was lovely!

We loved it...even got to see eagles flying around while sitting on outside deck...beautiful sunsets and chairs to watch them from. Julie was available and very nice taking care of us.

Hidden Gem

From the outside it didn’t look like much, but when you got inside it was a tranquil beautiful retreat. The hostess thoughtfully stocked the cabin w everything you could need while there. Lots of towels, bug spray, games, a great book collection, and even a record player. The lake view was breath taking at sunset. The only thing that could have used improving was the windows in the sunroom really need cleaned and the outside patio area needed cleaned as well lots of webs and spiders. Those 2 things hardly dampened the stay. We will definitely be back.

Nice getaway

We enjoy quick getaways, this was just what we needed to unwind and just hangout, for end of May it was rainy and cold but we had a great time despite the weather. Comfy & inviting cottage.

I love creating - whether it’s baking, renovating, or making jewelry with the beach glass found on Lake Erie. I split time between Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Chautauqua and am always up for exploring somewhere new. I can’t wait to host you!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

I grew up going to Chautauqua every summer and fell in love with the laidback small-town charm found in this part of New York. Memories here feel like antique shop finds, ice cream cones, beach naps, and late night porch cocktails.

Being from Erie, I also know the value of a Lake Erie sunset and couldn't resist the opportunity to share it with others.

I renovated much of the Fisherman's Cottage myself! It was a passion project that took a little over a year. You'll find some quirky imperfections in this old fishing cottage but don't let that stop you from enjoying the comfort and quiet she offers!
