Nous sommes des hÎtes locaux avec 20 ans d'expérience et plus de 30 avis. Confiez-nous vos vacances!

Soyez douillet comme un insecte dans cette maison confortable située dans la ruche d'activités du centre-ville de Bar Harbor. La maison Honeybee a été construite dans les années 1920 dans un cul de sac résidentiel toute l'année et a été entiÚrement rénovée en 2007, ouvrant le plan d'étage du rez-de-chaussée à un style familial plus fonctionnel et moderne. En 2013, nous avons modernisé la maison avec de nouveaux meubles, de nouveaux draps et de nouvelles couleurs de peinture.

Cette maison du centre-ville entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ©e dispose d'un emplacement exceptionnel au cƓur de Bar Harbor Ă  distance de marche de tous les restaurants, magasins, supermarchĂ©s et commoditĂ©s du centre-ville, y compris le centre principal du systĂšme de bus gratuit Ă  l'Ă©chelle de l'Ăźle permettant des vacances sans voiture. Rendez-vous au magasin de vĂ©los local pour louer des vĂ©los et monter directement dans le parc national d'Acadia. PrĂ©parez un dĂ©jeuner et dirigez-vous directement vers le quai oĂč votre bateau d'excursion d'observation des baleines part. Attrapez les enfants et promenez-vous au centre-ville pour une glace. Ou profitez de ce dĂźner spĂ©cial avec la famille et les amis sans avoir Ă  serrer tout le monde dans une voiture et Ă  trouver un parking.

The house is in the perfect spot in Bar Harbor. You can walk to restaurants and shopping. It’s only a few minutes from Acadia National Park. It was perfect for our family, very clean and comfortable. Host very nice.

This house is in a perfect location right behind the grocery store and a two minute walk to downtown. We had issues with the TV but the owners were close by and came and worked on the TV remote for us.

Charming house in a perfect location

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house was even more charming than it looked in the pictures. There were oodles of clean fluffy towels, a very well stocked kitchen (spices, dishes, pots and pans, etc) and we were right in the middle of Bar Harbor. And Jen, the owner, was very helpful and proactive on communications. A great stay!

Great place!

Honey Bee house was a great place to stay! The house was clean and comfortable and conveniently located. We walked downtown every day and shopped for groceries at the supermarket at right behind the neighborhood. Jen was wonderful about checking in before and during our stay. I would definitely stay at Honey Bee House again!

Great location in Bar Harbor, comfortable

Loved that we could stay parked at the house and walk to the Bar Harbor restaurants and shops. Very short drive to Acadia National Park. The beds were very comfortable; fluffy towels; well-stacked kitchen (not that we cooked much). One note we left to the hosts was it may be helpful to include a small ice chest for guests to use to bring lunches into the park if interested.

Honey Bee Bar Harbor

Cute New England home with sun porch. We loved this house from the beautiful hardwood floors, to the large kitchen, and the comfortable beds. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. You could not ask for more.

We loved our stay at Honeybee. The location was worth its weight in gold. We only used the car to drive into Acadia. We were able to easily walk to the water, restaurants, and shops. The house was so cute and very clean. We hope to return!

Had a great stay at the Honey Bee House. The location is convenient to downtown and within a block of the grocery store. The home has everything you need including washer and dryer. Enjoyed the front porch after returning from hiking at Acadia. The home was very clean and as described, would recommend to others.

Adam and Jen have a deep love and understanding of the natural beauty surrounding the Acadia/Mount Desert Island area. Jen grew up summers on Long Pond and Adam on a 110-acre farm in Western Maine adjoining the Appalachian Trail. They met here in Bar Harbor working as sea kayak guides in the summer of 1993.

Over the years, they have hiked, biked, paddled, and sailed every conceivable route on and around Mount Desert. Adam completed his goal of hiking every trail on the Island in the summer of 1994 and Jen authored The Sea Kayaker's Guide to Mount Desert Island published by Down East Books in 1997. Together they paddled the Maine Island Trail, a 175-mile 28-day kayaking trip from Portland to Machias, up the entire Maine coastline.

In the summer of 2000, Jen and Adam started Mountain Sea Properties with a single house, Eagle Cliff, where they were married that same summer. The owner had approached them expressing her frustration renting the home through larger rental operations on the island. She complained that her house was one of hundreds represented so the service she received was minimal. She also stated that those who rented the house were not as well informed as they could be. The tenants were also one of hundreds and the service they received was minimal.

Adam and Jen offered to represent the house committing to providing top quality service to both owners and tenants by representing a limited number of houses and providing personalized vacation services.

Since then, Mountain Sea Properties has grown along with the Wales family. As year-round members of the Island’s community, Adam and Jen are dedicated to the vitality of the people of Mount Desert Island. Thus, each year they donate a portion of their proceeds to local organizations devoted to sustaining the beauty and well-being of the Mount Desert Island area.

She’s looked at dozens of properties searching for just the right combination of quiet yet convenience, ample space yet an affordable rental price, and up to date yet historic charm. She finally found it in the Honeybee House and is delighted to offer it rounding out the offerings of properties at Mountain Sea Properties. This home is brought to you with all the same quality and care that can be expected from all our properties including local information and recommendations, vacation services, cleanliness and quality lines, kitchenware and furniture.
