Canât say enough night things about this house!! Itâs in the PERFECT location. Itâs nestled in a quiet street off Main Street with Acadia, Bar Harbor and all other desirable spots within 15-20 mins drive. The house itself is perfect. Itâs very clean and well maintained with a deck (grill and fire pit included), nice lawn and yard. Fantastic chefs kitchen, open living room and 3 bedrooms, itâs ideal for a family, couple little kids and a dog! House is very clean and decorated. Aid burning stove and in house washers and dryers were great. We absolutely look forward to staying here again. Thanks Jim and Annette!!!
The house is so well stocked it feels like home. The owners were very communicative and we enjoyed our stay at Acadia so much. Will be happy to return.
Loved the house, kitchen was very well stocked and we needed for nothing. Location was central and everything was only about 15 minutes drive away. It was chilly and we were disappointed that the fireplace in the livingroom didn't work. The grill also wasnt working but with the great kitchen we did fine. Best part of all was the fresh lobster our host brought us. He is a lobsterman and sold the lobster he cought that day for a great price.
Great stay in a very nice house with a great island location. We really felt the hospitality of the host family and a lot of care was taken in making this house comfortable. Well stocked with linens, kitchen items, overall a very thoughtfully set up home. Would stay again and highly recommend.
This was a wonderful property for us in terms of the privacy but not too far from everything. The beautiful outdoor deck with the table top fire pit which we used every night, the closeness to the park and to Bar Harbor, and a very well-stocked home that you needed nothing. Additionally, we text the owners on two occasions and they got back to us immediately. I would highly recommend staying here and I want to thank them for sharing their home with us. We found it to be a privilege to stay there. Definitely would stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The location was perfect for going to Acadia National Park. The kitchen was very well equipped. If weâre ever back in the area, we hope to stay here again.
Cozy little place tucked away in the woods but a short 10-15 minute drive from pretty much anything. The place was clean and had everything we could ask for, the owners were very responsive and willing to work with us when our trip situation changed.
Our stay was perfect except for the fact we couldnât stay longer. The house and property were exactly how they were pictured and was the most well stocked & equipped home we have ever stayed at. The peacefulness outside whether it was on the porch in the morning or near the firepit in the evening was exactly what I hoped for. Annette and Jim were fantastic hosts and very easy to get in touch with and responsive.
House was beautiful! House had everything we needed and more! Very clean and up to date! Owners were great to deal with. We saw that there was only an AC in the primary bedroom so we took along small fans, which worked great! Would love to stay there again!
The central location made getting to any sections of the park on MDI a breeze. Being set back into the woods while also close enough to walk to a playground and a few other little amenities was a nice bonus for our young family! Add in the well-equipped kitchen and overall cozy property and I can't imagine a better place to stay for our daughters' first National Park experience!
The house was perfect for our family. It was clean, very comfortably furnished and provided all the amenities you could wish for. It was centrally located and easy to access the park as well as all the towns. We were able to bring our dogs which was a huge plus
Great location on MDI for all the things we love to do. The market store in town Hill was a great asset with super friendly people there. The home was comfortable and the kitchen setup was absolutely amazing if you love to cook. Highly recommended!
The home was excellent. All the amenities you needed, as well as being centrally located to every activity you wanted to do. Hopefully we can get back here sometime.

Jim and Annette's place was clean and the space was as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked, possibly the best VRBO of any I have stayed in. We loved being able to bring our dog who also enjoyed the yard. The location in regards to BH/Acadia is great. Beds are soft, and it is close to major road causing more traffice noise than anticipated from the photos. Overall I would recommend.
Wonderful home for a family vacation! We loved how quiet this house was but that it was close to Acadia and Bar Harbor without having to deal with the traffic. The house itself had everything we needed and more. We thought it was larger that the pictures showed. We always enjoyed ending our busy days eating dinner on the deck then playing games around the fire. We hope to rent this home again next time we are in town.
We loved this house, it was spacious and felt like a home away from home. They have a high chair, and a pack and play (thank goodness because we forgot ours). We did end up going to pick up a baby gate to keep our baby off from the stairs, so I would suggest bringing your own if you have a curious dare devil like us! The kitchen was spacious and had most every tool, pots, and pans that you will need, and a great dining area. Bar Harbor is amazing, and we hope to go again in the future, we would definitely try to stay in this home again. Thank you Annette and Jim for the beautiful home to stay in on our first family vacation!
The house was perfect and very charming. The location was very convenient to Bar Harbor and we enjoyed the property itself as well. We look forward to staying at the property again :)
The house was bigger than it appears in the pictures. Our family of five had plenty of space and the location was excellent as every trail and the downtown area had multiple ways to go get there.
We are local residents of Mount Desert Island, going back several generations. I have worked for the local school district for over 25 years and my husband Jim being a full-time year round lobsterman on his boat the F/V Blythe Megan named for our 2 daughters.
Our home is located on several acres that goes back 3 generations in my family, the Norwoods, in the village of Town Hill. There are several homes in our neighborhood with the majority still own by my family members.
Our home is located on Route 102 off the main highway in a wooded lot. We have a wrap around front porch and deck with lots of seating to enjoy the quiet of the evenings or coffee in the morning.
