Quiet and cozy cottage hidden on the banks of Lake Norman


This fully remodeled cottage is located on over 16 private acres and is located on a dead-end road off a dead-road that ends at Lake Norman so there is minimal traffic or noise. The property features a creek, a small waterfall, a pond, and wildlife (deer, rabbits, groundhogs, birds, etc). We also have two mini pigs, Kevin Bacon and Hamlet, who are friendly and fun to watch. (They love peanuts - some will be provided if you want to feed them).
Perfect for a romantic getaway, home base for hiking trips and other outdoor activities, and long-term stays (discount available for stays over 2 weeks).
The cottage and yard are maintained by owners, Dave and Trish, who live on-site in a separate house.

NOTE: NO children under 12 or pets. Service animals are allowed with an extra fee.

Excellent country cottage with perfect hosts

This rental was just as described. It was very cute clean and cozy. The couple hosting the rental were very friendly and we enjoyed visiting the farm. Kevin, Hamlet and the dogs were fantastic. We came to town for a fundraiser and for the NASCAR race. We certainly could have stayed closer to Concord but this was a lovely place to stay and really not too far away. The setting made it well worth the few extra miles to drive to the race and other events near Concord. We look forward to our next visit and will definitely look forward to staying at the cottage again.

Beautiful, Peaceful, and Very Clean

The house is well maintained with nice furnishings. It is in the country, but because of that, it is quiet and peaceful. There is no water view but within a short drive, you can be on the lake. The hosts are very nice but allow you to have privacy. I would highly recommend.

A house in the country getaway

Beautiful and relaxing stay in the country. We enjoyed it very much. We enjoyed walking down to see the dogs and the pigs(Kevin Bacon and Hamlet). We hope to stay again.

Great getaway!

Trish was absolutely wonderful with communication. The property itself is beautiful and she is making even better upgrades to the farm it looks like. The house was lovely and had all the essentials we needed for the weekend. She also has a lot of eco friendly accommodations which was nice to see. enough room for the four of us to comfortable eat at the table as well as sit for general down time. With it being later in fall, the evenings were cool and there was a lovely fire pit outside for enjoyment. We were in town for the renaissance festival and would gladly stay here again for next year!

An Absolute Pleasure

We had a wonderful time at this property, which was immaculately clean lovingly maintained and in a great location, a quiet and spacious property near a working farmette. There was so much charm and character that you cannot help but immediately feel at home when you walked in the door. It had a beautifully appointed and spacious front porch that was really just a great place to hang out and enjoy some peaceful vibes. The kitchen was nice and open and it overlooked a large and fenced backyard and the woods beyond it. We will definitely be back!

Quiet & Beautiful

Cozy yet well equipped rental on a beautiful property. Out in the countryside but only a short drive away from town. Hosts are very friendly, they surprised me with a birthday gift! My sister and I enjoyed feeding the pigs. Highly recommend.

Another Great Stay!

This is the second time we have used Trish's cottage for guests coming in from out of town, and again, it was wonderful! Very clean, great communication. She even had a note written for our friend from the Philippines with a Filipino greeting, which made him very happy. Definitely will stay here again!

Wonderful House!!

I reserved this for a visiting speaker for our church, and he couldn't stop praising the cottage! He said that it was extremely clean, a convenient location, and the hostess was very helpful. He was very pleased and so are we. Definitely using them again for any other friends we host in town!
