We stayed here as a family and while the host was responsive, there are several areas that could be improved. The mattresses were very uncomfortable — the bunk beds sagged in the middle, and the main bed made loud creaking noises with even small movements, which made it difficult to sleep well. For a booking of six people, only one small shampoo was provided, and when we asked for more, it wasn’t available. We also experienced a power outage at 8am that was still not restored by the time we left. I understand this may have been outside the host’s control, but it did create added inconvenience. Finally, the bathroom cleanliness could use more attention. With improvements to the bedding, amenities, and upkeep, this property has the potential to offer a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience for families.

The accommodations are lovely and provide everything you need for a wonderful vacation in the area. The beach is beautiful and just a short walk away. A perfect setting for a family getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return someday soon.

A quaint basement suite in the Victoria/Colwood area. There is a kind couple living in the upstairs of this house and you have the basement suite with separate entry. They have beautifully renovated the space. You have access to their fenced in backyard which is filled with various fruit trees. We were a family of 5, and while I found the master bedroom mattress overly firm and uncomfortable for my taste, the double bunkbed with a twin on top was comfortable so we made it work. I was VERY thankful for the laundry. My recommendations would be to add a drying rack for swim/delicates for laundry. They understandably didn't want us picking the fruit in the backyard, but I had a hard time keeping our puppy from eating all the fruit that had dropped to the ground. While apples are safe, I get concerned over consuming large quantities of apple seeds, etc. Overall I would recommend this place if you have a car in the area. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Very sweet couple.

Great house and location is wonderful . Close to beach which is perfect. Owners are super responsive and easy to communicate with and the outdoor patio is a great place for a morning coffee

Home Away from Home

Stayed here while our home was being repaired from a flood. Hosts were lovely. Home had every convenience you could need and was beautifully located a block from the ocean.

Great Place!

This unit was exactly as advertised and very clean. Backyard great for dogs, all fenced in. Very cute outdoor shaded seating space. Thanks for the stay!
